Skiing

This is the Skiing page. We all love to ski... because if you don't, then leave now. We can all agree that being a ski bum is the worlds best profession.

Skis and equiptment- They are the most important part of skiing... obviously, but where are the good skis and equiptment??

Salomon 720s

This is a great ski. It's great for rails and park, but versitile for all mountain action too. While more flexible than the 1080s, it provides a nice cousioned landing proving easy on the ankles and knees. A good deal, priced at $400-500

Line Assassin

The Assassin in the flag ski of a multi-style assassin line. They are nice skis, but not quite as versitile as the 720s. The assassins are used for mainly park and rail use. On the all-mountain view, the assassins have weak edging and are unstable in granular surfaces. Moderatly prices at $550-600.

Nordica

Quite possibly the best boot company in business. The Nordica GTS boots were the corps' favorite. They were not only comfortable and nicly cusioned, but stable in the park and very damage resistant. Great buy at under $100.

Liberty

Has anyone ever heard of them? Strangly, Liberty doesn't do any advertising and hates any medial attention. Their skis are great though. Their multi-ski line puts out some diverse sets of twin tips and powder skis. The Choppers were a favorite througout the corps. Good price for good quality at $500-750.

Rossignol Scratch

The Scratches are a great and possibly the most popular twin tip ou today. While more flexible than the 720s and Assassins, the Scratches hold their own as being a pro favorite. The multi-style Scratches are moderatly priced at $400-500.

Salomon 1080

The big brother to the 720s, the 1080s are much like them. Durable, sturdy, and good in the park as well as on the mountain. Good pricing in the $550 range.

4frnt MSP

These are good skis and the same can be said for most all 4frnt skis. The 4frnt line is very limited in diversity, the MSPs being only one of two styles. The MSPs are good all around skis though. Good pricing in the $400-500 range.
