Just thought I'd mention a coupel of businesses that I refuse to patronize.
Great Expectations. This is one of those outrageously priced singles dating services. The thing is, their spiel sounded very unconvincing to me, as did their alleged matchmaking process. And I could tell that the salesperson I met wasn't being completely honest. I've also read various reports which say that their database of supposed matchmaking possibilities is greatly exaggerated and includes some inactive subscribers.. Let's just say that I refuse to take a chance on these folks.
Bernard Haldane and Associates. This supposed high-end job placement firm is a total ripoff. According to numerous reports, the supposed "secret" job market that they advertise doesn't really exist -- and why should it? If a company wants to recruit someone, there's no reason why they'd go through a company like Bernard Haldane and Associates. This company has had numerous lawsuits levelled against them, and I think it would be foolish to use their services.
If I were you, I would play safe and stay away from these folks, people.
