This is my dedication to the best band EVER- well at least in my opinion anyway!
I love the band itself because they stand out their charismatic and androgynous style has helped to created a new lease of life on the music industry since they started in 1995.
Here you will find info about each of the band members as well as the music they create and a regular news updates.
If you have an opinion, or just wanna say hi, put it on the guestbook.
Enjoy!!!
PS - Major re-vamp of the site in the Summer; I'm busy revising for my Exam's (lucky me, huh?) and won't have a lot of time in the coming months. However, as soon as they are over, I'll dedicate more time to the site, like updating the Misc page which, lets face it, needs some work, lol!

Placebo - Once More With Feeling - Singles Collection 1996 - 2004
The ever-impressing alternative glam - goth tinged rockers are back, this time stacking all of their hits together in a singles collection entitled 'Once More With Feeling'.
To start with, we take a journey back in time to 1996, with the singles from the bands first album 'Placebo'. '36 Degrees' starts us off followed by the blistering 'Teenage Angst'. Next, we find ourselves re-living the socially unacceptable rant of 'Nancy Boy' with Brian Molko singing about men in wearing lipstick and perfumme! 'Bruise Pristine' follows with the thoughtful lines of 'We were born to loose'.
'Pure Morning' was the first single taken from the bands 'Without you i'm Nothing' album which is remembered in most parts of America and Canada for being the song about weed! Another furious rant follows by the name of 'You Don't Care About Us'. This was written after one of Brian's partners told him that he didn't care enough about the relationship that he was in. The track from the movie 'Cruel Intention' follows, the reflective 'Every You, Every Me'. Track number 8 is 'Without you i'm Nothing' the albums title track. There is a twist in this song though as David Bowie does the guest vocals for it!
From 'Black Market Music' came the rocked up dance track called 'Taste in Men'. 'Slave to the Wage' follows as a tribute to Placebo's friend Scott Piering who tragically died of cancer the day that this particular song was recorded. The druged up title of 'Special K' isn't far behind. Next is the childhood memories of 'Black Eyed' also taken from another movie.
The return of Placebo in March 2003 also saw the return of another Rock classic, the angst filled 'Bitter End'. Age is the topic of the next song, 'This Picture' with the final lines being 'You can't stop growing old'. The beutiful 'Special Needs' sees the band writing some of their most sympathetic lyrics through out their whole careers. The last song from 'Sleeping with Ghosts' is the dance remix of 'English Summer Rain' which includes the romantic lyrics 'I can't sleep without your breathing, and I can't breathe each time you're leaving'.
'Protège Moi' - the previosly unrealesed here in the UK- version of 'Protect Me' arrives with Brian displaying his multilingual talents. The unrealesed love struck song of 'I Do' follows which is a greatly different aspect of the bands writing talents. The new single '20 Years' follows with another deep songs ending lyrics of 'You're the truth not I'.
This album, to me, demonstrates what a great, untraditional rock band is all about; growth. The band are capable of writing deep and meaningful lyrics without hanging dirty laundry on the washing line. It shows the natural evolution of not only the lyrical content but the way in which their tunes and melody's have progressed over the past 8 years. Clearly, one of the most influentual and awe-inspiring bands to grace the music scene within the last decade prove that it's in your reach - you just have to concentrate!
