We've got a pair of excellent Guatemala coffees this year, intended to bring you a variety of what that coffee-producing country has to offer. Finca Camelias is a meticulously-maintained traditional coffee farm. The farm's coffee has beautiful flavors of sweet fruit and brisk tartness laced with delicate vanilla and floral notes--it is so good that we had to buy all of it! When our supply of Finca Camelias runs out, we'll turn to a special Atitlan coffee. Traditionally processed, this year's Atitlan is an example of the delicious cranberry tartness and juicy sweetness that typifies coffees from the region! We are sure that no matter which Guatemalan coffee you find brewed in our stores this year, you will be delighted.

Caribou Coffee French Roast 1 lb.

A combination of coffees from Costa Rica, Guatemala, Colombia, and Papua New Guinea is blended and brought to a traditional French roast with an even development of surface oils. This produces a decadent, bittersweet flavor with a smooth, heavy body - an utter indulgence. Perfect for chilly mornings and flavorful enough to stand up to a touch of milk after dinner.

Caribou Coffee Discovery Blend 1/2 lb.

This proprietary blend of premium coffees comes from the highlands of East Africa and the highest peaks of Central America. Discovery is craft roasted to mellow its bright acidity, developing the soft, rich, luxurious flavors buried within these beans. Flafors of citrus and blackberries that are normally found only in our lightest roasts have been deepened to make a more subtle and silky cup typically found in a darker roast. Roasted to its peak of flavor - the darkest of our lighter roasts - Discovery Blend will satisfy even the most discriminating palate.

This east-African country produces some of the best coffee in the world. Much of our time from April to June is spent selecting from hundreds of different auction samples, contacting our buyer in Kenya, and when the coffee is just right, justifying buying it at any price to our finance department! The Kenyan coffee industry is extremely sophisticated. All coffee exported from Kenya is auctioned in Nairobi, where the bidding and prices can sometimes resemble an art auction at Christie's! Caribou carries only the extraordinary AA grade, which is the largest, densest, and most intense bean available. We've concluded, after tasting thousands of samples, that Kenya AA is always superior to the best Kenya AB. Due to the numerous small lots that we buy, each month brings a different treat. All of our Kenya AA has a sparkling brightness and a huge velvety body that serves as a backdrop for wonderful blackberry notes.

You'll taste subtle, semi-sweet chocolate tones surrounded by a black cherry fruitiness in this delightful Costa Rica. The mill that produces it has an incredible reputation for both the price they pay farmers and their commitment to perfection; it's no wonder farmers literally line up to sell their beans there. We roast Sombra del Poro on the lighter side, allowing the natural, bright flavors to shine through.
