ReVAMP!!

Hey there! Welcome to my website. I know this site hasn't been updated in a very very long time.. But just for kicks, I've decided to do a small revamp to the site so that it looks a bit better, and make it  look like I've been updating this site .

Here's a short list of the changes that I'll be introducing:

  •  Omitting the Games Galore page - its too much of a hassle to update the page.
  •  A new link to the photo albums page to something that I would update regularly.
  • Added the new sidebar feature into my site.
Hope these updates would bring new life to the site

 *UPDATE 2nd June 2009*
After getting some feedback from my friends, I will now have a comment section on each new post that I put on. I will implement this only on the last post and any following post that would come .

What's New..

Would you believe that I got the title for this paragraph from an advert that was playing on the tv (the tagline was : "What's new?"). Anyways, things have changed since the end of last year. So I though I put in some new updates about myself. The first most important thing is: UNIVERSITY!! I've made it into uni, University of Melbourne to be exact. Right now I'm doing engineering. Hopefully to continue in Mechanical Engineering in my second year.

However, with every good news comes the bad. Right now the bad is that exams are coming soon. So its mostly study study study for me. Keep checking this site to find out what I'm up to lately :D

Other things to note about, my family have moved into our newly built house.  I'm really happy and thankfull that everything went well prior to moving in. The whole moving process just started, so there are a lot of stuff to put in still. To be honest I'm sad that I am not able to help out that much moving in.

This is a bit of an old news (it was during Easter), but since I haven't updated my site since December last year, I might as well put it in . I went with my newly found friends on a roadtrip during the easter holidays to Mornington Peninsular. It was a good trip. The trip became a talking point amongst my friends for quite some time.

Confessions on a Saturday

Another week has past and there goes another Saturday. Oh Saturday, how much I love you Saturday. It’s the only day where, you feel free. It’s not a weekday. It's a Saturday. And it's also not the end of the weekend for it is a Saturday. I love Saturdays.

In case you haven't notice, that’s my confession for the day. Anyways, before I talk about this Saturday, let me recap you on what happened over the week that passed. Well first off, Monday marked the first day of the last week of semester (i.e. it called for a celebration in its own right! or it marked the day where all social activities should cease immediately as exams are coming soon). Being the last week of semester, I only had 14 contact hours in uni compared to the usual 20 hours (there was no lab/workshop) but I'm pretty sure it was than that .

And being the last week of semester, everything seemed different. I think almost everyone went to the emotion shop and bought the OMG-I-need-to-study mask. It was really hard to find people who had the I-couldn't-care-less-about-the-exams mask on their face. I think I should too, considering exams are that close by...hmmmmm.. maybe....

I think Thursday also deserves to be mentioned here. But then again, I think I'll just leave it at that. Feel free to ask me though (if it did make u curious). Friday went by quite like usual. I was expecting much more from the last day of semester.

Finally Saturday came. To be honest I wasn't expecting such a memorable Saturday. But you can never expect anything when you hang out with the people I hang out with. We are just too awesome to be predictable Anyways, it was during dinner time that things started to be memorable. The night kicked off with a video of my friend (as much as I want to put up a name here, I decided not to, cause it is embarassing) caught on video eating in a not so woman like fashion. And to top it all she said something that made us go oooooOOOOOHHHH!!! (again I won't say what it is). After dinner, we went for a tour around the Royal Exhibition Building - it's where my exams are going to be held.

A quick run around, a few snapshots here and there, and finally a little bit of hoo-ha we were off to Gelatissimo. Gelatissimo is a small Italian based ice-cream shop (yes we had ice-cream when the outside temperature was like 8 degrees). After that we stopped over at a friends place before calling it a night.

All in all, I think this might be the last fun Saturday I'm gonna have before exams start. But in the mean time, theres always Guitar Hero to fill in the time

Another Saturday

If Saturday was to have another name, it'll be a-hang-out-till-its-dawn-day. And that was what we did yesterday (just like any other Saturdays). However, yesterday was a bit different than most Saturdays. How? Well first off, we were all most of us were wearing baju kurungs and one of us was wearing baju melayu while walking around town. The reason for that was, we were attending a solat hajat function in conjunction with the exams that are coming soon. One of the student bodies in Melbourne organized that event which started at around 7pm. And being true to our Malaysian tradition: we arrived late.

However something different happened on this very Saturday (and this is the second reason why yesterday wasn't like any other Saturday). Instead of just making our way to our destination (and arriving late), we made new friends along the way. Well you could say meeting new people is a normal thing, but it wasn't about meeting new people that made this Saturday special, it was more of where we met them and how our conversation led us to take a good laugh at ourselves.

But at the end of the day, it was still another Saturday. So like any other Saturday, after the solat hajat function, we started doing what we do best on a Saturday : Hanging Out!

Well that was all there was to yet another fine Saturday.

Friends

Isn't it awesome that you can just go where ever, and still find people that you can still get along with? Well I don't know about you guys, but I always find that as true. Melbourne is a new city in a new country for me. Another place where I have to start all over again at square one in my social life. Melbourne is big and Melbourne has heaps more people. And considering the fact that I'm studying in universtiy, finding a group to hang out with isn't as easy as it was in high school.

So how am I going after 3 months in Melbourne? I think I'll be a bit modest if I say my friends are awesome. Thats because they are not! They are fantastic! Within 3 months together, here are some of the things that we have done: went on a roadtrip, went to the beach, sleepovers, long sleepless night, cooking fest, putting up a suprise birthday party, and much more! Life is just great isn't it?

Well hope you guys enjoyed this post! Keep on checking this website for more updates!
