chemicals causes cancer, especially breast cancer. Dioxins are highly poisonous to the cells of our bodies.Don't freeze your plastic bottles with water in them as this releases dioxins from the plastic. Recently, Dr. Edward Fujimoto, Wellness Program Manager at Castle Hospital , was on a TV program to explain thishealth hazard. He talked about dioxins and how bad they are for us. He said that we should not be heating our food in the microwave using plastic containers. This especially applies to foods that contain fat. He said that the combination of fat, high heat, and plastics releases dioxin into the food and ultimately into the cells of the body. Instead, he recommends using glass, such as Corning Ware, Pyrex or ceramic containers for heating food. You get the same results, only without the dioxin. So such things as TV dinners, instant ramen and soups, etc., should be removed from the container and heated in something else. Paper isn't bad but you don't know what is in the paper. It's just safer to use tempered glass, Corning Ware, etc. He reminded us that a while ago some of the fast food restaurants moved away from the foam containers to paper. The dioxin problem is one of the reasons. Also, he pointed out that plastic wrap, such as Saran, is just as dangerous when placed over foods to be cooked in the microwave. As the food is nuked, the high heat causes poisonous toxins to actually melt out of the plastic wrap and drip into the food. Cover food with a paper towel instead.

How Emotional Stress Feeds Cancer
If you read my blog with any regularity, you know how handling stress poorly shortens your life and interferes with your ability to conceive a child. It may also hasten the spread of ovarian cancer, according to a new study.
University of Texas researchers decided to test their theory on mice based on the high levels of VEGF protein (a protein that stimulates the growth of blood vessels in tumors) they found in human ovarian cancer patients with elevated stress levels.
Mice were infected with ovarian cancer, and some were placed alone in small, confined spaces for up to six hours. Animals confined in stressful situations for that long had almost four times the number of tumors versus those that weren't. Cancerous tumors among half of those stressed had also spread to their livers and spleens. Additionally, stress activated not only VEGF proteins, but MMP2 and MMP9, compounds that also sustain tumors.
The good news: Conventional medicine may finally be getting an inkling of a clue about poorly managed emotions and how they can result in all sorts of health problems. You can provide your body with safe, natural tools -- not dangerous drugs -- to compensate for the bioelectrical short-circuiting that can cause serious disruption in many of your body's important systems.
One of the best tools available is the Emotional Freedom Technique, the energy psychology tool used in my practice daily.
Breast Cancer Drug Ineffective and Extraordinarily Expensive
Past studies have found that the drug tamoxifen, often prescribed to women at high risk of breast cancer, increases the risk of developing endometrial cancer. Now, a new analysis has found the drug does not increase life expectancy in these women.
Most women at high risk for breast cancer do not increase their life expectancy by taking the drug tamoxifen. It was only found to be effective when a woman's five-year risk of developing breast cancer reaches 3 percent or more (the drug is approved for women with a 1.67 percent or greater risk).
Along with endometrial cancer, tamoxifen is linked to many serious side effects, including cataracts, deep vein thrombosis and stroke. Further, if women do develop breast cancer while taking tamoxifen, there is a greater chance that they will develop an estrogen receptor-negative tumor, which has a worse prognosis.
To add insult to injury, the drug is extraordinarily expensive, costing $1.3 million per year of life saved in the
Fortunately, there are many natural methods you can use to prevent breast cancer (and inexpensively, too).
Popular Cancer Drug Linked to Heart Failure
A cancer drug called Gleevec, used to treat leukemia, may cause heart failure in patients -- a condition that can be just as life-threatening as the cancer the drug is intended to treat. The study found that the drug kills heart muscle cells, and 10 patients taking Gleevec developed severe congestive heart failure.
Not only are cancer drugs expensive -- with some varieties commanding upwards of $100,000 a year -- but they can also cause serious side effects such as fatal strokes and blood clots. And with more and more people surviving cancer, taking a drug that could cause a fatal condition hardly seems wise.
Still, the best option is to stay free of cancer to begin with, which is why I urge you to check out these 12 changes that will cut your cancer risk in half.
Prostate Cancer Treatment Often Unnecessary and Harmful
Most men diagnosed with low-grade prostate cancer do not need drastic treatments like surgery or radiotherapy. In fact, while the treatments can cause incontinence and impotence, most men who are not treated will live out their natural lifespan without experiencing any ill effects from the disease, a study at the
Further, a man between the ages of 55 and 59 with low-grade prostate cancer has only a one in 100 chance of dying within 15 years, even without treatment. While most prostate cancers are slow-growing, and most men are unlikely to die from it, you can still reduce your risks (and treat existing prostate cancer) by using these natural tools.

The case for avoiding processed meats -- including smoked ham, bacon, hot dogs, salami and sausage -- is building, based on a review of 15 studies on the development of stomach cancer, the fourth most common cancer type. You should be very concerned, especially if you love high-fat, fried breakfast foods like bacon, the worst offender of them all. Based on the health records of some 4,700 patients collected over the past four decades, adding 1 ounce of processed meat to your daily diet elevates your stomach cancer risks by as much as 38 percent. Among the likely contributors: Nitrates along with excess salt and smoking that extend the shelf-life of such products. But, if you think test-tube hamburgers are a viable option, forget it. Safer, healthier options are available, thanks, in part, to the growing number of ranchers raising bison in more natural conditions. If you're finding it hard to track down a healthy source for bison meat in your area, you may want to consider the variety of Blackwing meats I carry in my Web store.
