New Century is a computer based program that is used to determine the math and reading levels of students who take the diagnostic tests. After a student has taken the tests, the program automatically assigns the students lessons based on their own individual needs in certain areas. If a student is still struggling with a certain task the teacher may go in and change the lesson path to include concepts that the student is struggling with.
This program is successful because of the positive feed back the student receives while working. Also another great component is that it is based on the individual students needs. We have seen great success when the student cooperates and works on the program efficiently.
