ACCESS is an acronym for: Alabama Connecting Classrooms, Educators, & Students Statewide. This program allows students the opportunity to take courses offered from around the state via the internet. This is a web-based course that uses the internet to access the course and communicate with the teacher. It offers the same curriculum that a typical classroom offers, just using a computer. Currently we have 24 students enrolled in 12 different courses. Sometimes students may be enrolled in a particular class because of a schedule conflict with the class we offer on campus. Sometimes students may be enrolled in a course to make up a credit they lost for one reason or another. This semester we have students taking Advanced Placement United States History 11, Biology, Chemistry, Coordinated Studies, English 9, English 12, Geometry, History 11, Latin I, Latin II, Marine Science and Web Design.
I am looking forward to a very productive year.
