Once your child starts competing, it is important to attend as many meets as possible (as this is also a team sport). Gymnasts must attend the following required number of practices the week prior to a meet in order to compete: Level 4 - 2 days, Levels 5 & 6 - 3 days, Levels 7 & 8 - 4 days, Levels 9 & up - 5 days. (Of course, it there are extenuating circumstances let us know so we can work it out).
Also keep in mind that STATE MEET FALLS AT THE END OF SPRING BREAK THIS SEASON. Your child will still have to attend her required number of practices the week of State Meet in order to be eligible to compete in that meet!
Remember, it is extremely important to to turn in meet fees on time! The packets are put together carefully and completely to help you out. It is not your coach's responsibility to call you the night the entry fee is due! Don't expect to have reminders for each meet. If we do not receive your fees by the deadline, we will assume your child will not be attending and they will not be entered. It you know your child WILL NOT be able to compete, please fill out the meet entry form and simply select the "NO" portion and turn it in for our records. If you are planning on using funds from your Booster Club account, please make sure you turn in your entry form at least 3 days prior to the deadline date in order to allow time for processing. Requests turned in less than 3 days prior to the deadline will not be granted and you have to pay the meet's entry on your own.
Booster club fees and McCracken's monthly tuition must be up-to-date in order for your child to compete. Also, please have your child to the meet on time!! This means they need to be there by the beginning of open stretch. If your child is late, they may be scratched from competition. This is for the child's safety.
