About Us

MID CHESHIRE ANIMAL WELFARE

Northwich,  Cheshire.

 Registered Charity No. 1039114

Mid Cheshire Animal Welfare is a charity based in Northwich, Cheshire, which has been in operation for over 30 years but only became a registered charity in 1995. We cover mid-Cheshire and surrounding areas .For many years animals have been lovingly cared for until such time as a suitable home can be found. In 2003 & 2004 over 1000 animals were fostered and re-homed.

We provide rescue and care for ill treated and abandoned cats and kittens until new homes can be found and re-home dogs by our dog rehoming co-ordinators. Occasionally we may take in birds, rabbits and rodents but as our facilities are limited these are normally referred to other local appropriate rescues. ( See ‘Links’ for other contacts).

The charity is run solely by volunteers, a dedicated team on which the future of abandoned animals depend.

The aims of the Charity are

  1. To care for all types of unwanted or neglected animals
  2. To provide veterinary treatment for animals in its care
  3. Enforce a neutering policy for all maturing cats leaving its care and encouraging pet owners to do the same, thus reducing the number of unwanted pets in the future
  4. To ensure no healthy or sick animal which can be saved shall be put to sleep

Our Charity is funded by public generosity, by running a charity shop, by organising events such as monthly bingo sessions, dog shows, market stalls raffles and Christmas draws.

We are now registered with Foneaid which recycles your old mobile phones.  Please drop them off at our charity shop, with a note of how many phones you hand in and your name, and help us to raise much needed funds.  We can also recycle your old printer cartridges ( not Epson and Canon).

If you are looking to re-home your pet please feel free to contact us .

Our grateful thanks to Alisia for setting the website up for us, her time and the technical help she gave is much appreciated.
