May is the 10-year-old co-star of Pokemon (she should be the main character). She has brown hair,blue eyes,and she is four feet,seven inches tall. She was born in the Petalburg City gym (they don't have human hospitals,I guess),and she is the only character who can understand Pokemon (except Ash can understand Pikachu a little).Ash met May when she was headed to Littleroot Town to get her first Pokemon from Prof. Birch.She chose Torchic,and then decided to tag along with Ash on his journey.Though rarely,if ever,exposed in the TV show,lots of Pokemon fans (including me) believe that Ash and May are deeply in love.May also has a little brother named Max,who is not as annoying as the average little brother (trust me, I have one). He guides the group around Hoenn,and provides info about different places and people. When Max first met Ash (Max was pretending to be the Petalburg City gym leader),he made fun of him for losing in the Johto League.Ash hated him for it,but they soon got over it when May,who was traveling alone with Ash at the time, told Ash that Max was her brother.Soon they all began traveling together.Now, they are all friends, and each has a specific goal to accomplish on their quest.
