mayhew racing and other toys and likes is a fun little place for us to share some pictures and facts about us.

mayhew racing started started in 1990 when terry mayhew started racing stock cars at the old portland speedway.

the first car was a 1969 chevy chevelle(#67).

after a tough rookie year and a couple of big crashes terry and his friend aj built a couple of new race cars to compete in the street stock division.

the new car was a 1978 nova (#01) and aj's car was a 1969 nova(#04) together they raced under the name novacaine racing.

that year terry finished 15th in points.

the following year terry did not race instead helped aj with his car.

in 1995  terry and aj built a new race car. a 1977 camaro that terry raced and won 3 races that year and finished 19th in points.

after that season terry crew chiefed for aj for the next few years where they have won over 50 races and 6 track championships as a team.

in 1999 terry bought his son shawn at 5years old his first race car. a 1/4 midget. shawn mayhew raced the 1/4 midget very successfuly for the next 3 yrs winning some races and a championship along the way.

mayhew racing is currently racing jr dragsters in the nhra. for more about that see shawns pages.

terry has also built a 1970 nova for shawn but will have to wait a few years till he is old enough to drive it! so terry will race it till then . see nova pages.
