Mayflower Morris

Welcome

We are Mayflower Morris, a ladies side dancing in the North West morris dancing style. We are based in Ash on the Surrey/Hampshire border, performing traditional, new and swapped clog dance routines.

We don't use the long sticks most people expect to see Morris Dancers wielding, or hankies, instead we dance with garlands, slings, bobbins and short sticks with bells and ribbons attached. Our costumes are pinafores in the traditional North West style with white petticoats and red clogs.

In the winter (October - April) we practice on a Monday night, between 8-10pm, at St Mary's Church Hall, Ash, on the junction of Vale Road and Wood Street, GU12 5JE. Morris dancing is a great way to get fit and being part of a team is a great way to stay motivated, so why not come along and give it a try. No dancing experience is necessary and we welcome people of any age.

A full list of our appearances this year can be found on our events page.
