We are taking submissions throughout the Exhibition!
Invitation to submit Artists’ Trading Cards for an exhibition, “Anything Goes”, at RAP, Radstock Youth Centre, November 2005.
A fun and participatory art exhibition with a difference! Organised by RAP participant Maxine Church, open to artists, students and members of the public:
ATCs are Artist trading cards. They started in Switzerland in the late 1990s when Vanci Stirnemann exhibited over 1000 in Zurich. He refused to sell any of the cards and vowed only to swap them with other artists. It spread from there....
There are only two rules where ATCs are concerned;-
1. They must measure 3.5 x 2.5 inches and,
2. They must not be sold, only traded.
They are incredibly freeing, you can use any medium, pencil, collage, recycled materials, textiles and anything else you can think of, to create your card/s.
Submission fee: £2 for up-to five entries, there is no limit on the amount of entries a participant can make. Money raised will go to future RAP arts projects. Cheques payable to nesa. All monies in Sterling only please.
There is no submission charge for schools entering as a group.
Participants are invited to bring their work and display it at the launch on Monday 31st October, 4.30 – 5.30 pm. Alternatively, artwork can be sent to Syrah Arnold at nesa for display.
