We are currently spending a lot of time in Sonic Boom Studios recording our next full length CD, "Rock Your Guts Out." Recording is going very well, but we still have a lot of work to do. Lots of shows coming up in the next few weeks, check the shows page to find out where they are. We have T-Shirts for sale at shows in black with white ink or red with black ink, come pick one up. Our first ever show at Sweet T's went very well, and it looks like shows there might become a regular thing. That's all for now, hope to see you at the shows!

Thanks to everyone who came out to the two year anniversary show, we had a great time and hope you did too. We'll be taking out first trip to Richmond this Friday for a show with our old friends the Social Dropouts and on Saturday we will begin recording the new CD. Lots of shows coming up; we are going to try and set up the first ever concert at Sweet T's deli in Purcellville with the Vacancy from AF Records. Show this Saturday at the Electric Maid in Takoma Park in DC, with the Alleged Bricks and many others. Next weekend is the Two Year Anniversary show. Come out and celebrate the idiocy that is Booboisie. Info for those shows and more on the shows page. New album to be started at the end of this month, which will include songs we've been playing that have yet to be recorded, and songs you haven't heard at all.

Thanks to everyone who came out. We're playing the OP's final show in Feb. and then headin up to Philly for Mr. Michael Subvert's birthday show. In late Feb/early March we are going back into Sonic Boom to start recording our next CD.

long time, no update. no apologies. i was sick today and after watching divorce court and raiders of the lost ark i tried to go get my car fixed. does anyone have 600 dollars? then i missed band practice so i am doing an update to make myself feel like less of an asshole. everybody should come to the holiday benefit at the sidebar, its for a great cause. check the shows page for more info on that. also, if you are interested, on december 23rd max's side project with members of the overprivileged and die cheerleader die, the twats, will be playing at the black cat with the AKs, for whom i will be playing bass. come on out. www.thetwats.org for more info on that

radio show at wmuc went well, barring technical difficulties on my part. thanks to bob from RSG! for setting us up with that. we'll be handing out copies of our live set from the broadcast at the next show. which brings me to our next topic: shows. there are more to come. check out the shows page for all the info on a rink show with famous in vegas, the screws, and more on september 26th, a show at the royal lee on october 8th, and a west virginia show later that month. new pics have been scanned, all we need to do now is get eric to upload them. sorry that's taken so long. -max

Tuesday, August 3rd
go get a snack and something comfortable to sit on, this is a big update...first off: we have parted ways with colin. after months and months of schedule conflicts and the band being brought to an overall stand-still, we all decided that we had to split up with colin. no sob stories or melodrama, no bad terms were left on. colin just felt he wasn't able to put the energy needed into the band. we'll miss him...
...and into the future. we are happy to welcome josh mckinney, formerly of social dropouts fame, to booboisie. we've already played five shows with josh, and are in the process of writing new songs to add to the set.
...which brings us to now. without aid of the internet of website updates, booboisie went into high gear, playing 5 shows in a week. one in purcellville, one in baltimore, two in DC (including the grand reopening of the U-turn!!), and one in winchester. thanks to marni, scott, johnny squid, mookie, and ---- for setting us up with the shows. also, thanks to all the bands that came out and played the purcellville show on the 25th. it was ------- awesome and if you missed it, well then die.
...and to come. we don't have much lined up for august, just more writing and maybe a show or two. but there is more to come in september and october, including a live show on the radio on sept 5th on WMUC in college park, Md. well that's it for now. check out the bio section for an update and the pics sections for a ton of photos we've been hoarding for some time now. -max

Wow its been two months since the last update sorry. We have been writing new songs and many a show has fallen through. We are playing in purcellville at the rink sunday the 25th @ 6 its going to be a great show with the overprivleged, famous in vegas, die cheerleader die, the ready steady go, and the ------ AK's it will most likely rock. We also have two shows coing up in dc and one in baltimore, Josh formely of the social dropouts will be playing drums on these shows. See you at the shows.

Wednesday, May 19th
sex farm got canned. let down of the year. the property owners pulled the plug on the whole thing less than a week before the show, giving us 2 days to find a new place, which we couldn't and we had to cancel it. sorry again. anyway, I am the man and max sucks, because i put up the new cd. Go to the mp3's section to check them out they destroy the old ones by so much. next show is in west virginia, and we have a show coming up at the rink july 3rd with a band from rockville, Md called Mr. Woodard. be sure to check out that show. we have been playing less and writing more the past few months, so expect an EP out by summer's end. check out graveyard school and the homeowners at the marshall ruritan this friday. not a show to miss. well until next time, enjoy the view. before it is blocked out by cicadas. -max

Sunday, March 28th
spent 10 hours in the studio today. it was interesting. i think i contracted an STD or two from eating a pepperoni off of the floor at sonic boom. carl farted and it lingered for more than a half an hour. realized i cannot keep a beat while singing. i'd say it was productive day indeed. going in next week to finish vocals, background vocals, mixing, and mastering. it should be out by the april 24th show!! keep checking back for all the info and ect. have a good one. plus there are a bunch more shows up -maxBR>

Ah, spring is upon us. you know what that means...allergies, the SATs, and recording! we kid you not, we are finally going into the studio to record our new CD. we'll be doing all the new ones, and redoing some old ones as well. we are hosting Sex Farm 2004 with the Daycare Swindlers in berryville, VA. it promises to be a good party indeed. check out the shows page for that one. the illustrious graveyard school is doing a weekend tour in VA in may, and we should be playing a couple dates on that, so wait for info on that. check out http://www.famousinvegas.com/pastshows.html for a review of our show in Philly. some old pics from the james jones era and some pics of us playing at the sidebar should be up in due time. well i think that is about it. party on. -maxBR>

the show saturday was pretty bad ass we still don't know what happened to apa sorry about that. We have taken over the booking from the daycare swindlers for this years sex farm and most of the details are up. It's going to be an all day event and is going to be ------- incredible just like all the previous years so you best attened.

Sunday, March 7th
more than a month and no update...who the hell do we think we are? well the rotunda in philly was great. the show at the sidebar in baltimore was great. the rink on february 22 was suprisingly great. thanks to lucky so far and the ubangis for coming out to play and showing everyone how to rock out on a sunday, and a huge thanks to sam macher for playing on such short notice, and for letting me use her guitar. (i finally got a new one, by the way). the rink show on march 13th should be equally great as well. check out the shows page for that and anything else. it looks like we're finally going record again, this month for sure. this time at sonic boom studios in warrenton. we'll keep you posted on that. we're planning another farm show in berryville set for sometime in may, and we'll post the bands as their are added. and hopefully we'll get pics developed from sidebar show sometime soon. thanks for stopping by. -max
