Welcome!

Welcome to my little piece of the internet. This is basically just a site that my friends and stalkers stop at when they are bored. Anyway, just have a look around, it isn't really that big of a site, so knock yourself out!

Yea it's been a while since an update, but I have been really busy. A lot has happened since the last update and I am sure I will be forgetting some, but I'll try. Most importantly I have been working on college stuff and have done early action applications for Northeastern and Salve Regina, and I recently did Westfield State too. The only one I really care about is Northeastern, since it would just be so damn perfect. Anyway, I worked hard through first term and did well, but I am finding it very hard to get motivated since my applications are in. Track started yesterday so now I am really busy between school, that, and work (in that order of course).

Thanksgiving was good, it was great to see everyone (mostly) again. The food was great and we all got to enjoy the awesome new TV, new couch, and new living room. My next goal is to finally sell the Explorer so I don't have to worry about it anymore.

Friday, October 7 2005

Ok, the first update (of hopefully more) of October. Wednesday was Stephanie's 18th birthday, and tomorrow we're all going to her favorite restaurant in Boston. The Sox got swept by the White Sox today, but I really don't care for two reasons. 1) The Sox shouldn't have made it into the playoffs in the first place, 2) We won the World Series last year. The Bruins game just ended and they lost, but it's alright because they're playing hockey. I worked from 5-9 today so I missed the football game (as usual). We get our new TV tomorrow, and we'll get cable for it on Tuesday. I can't wait, we haven't had a living room for about 5 years.

The most depressing forecast ever. How is this even possible?

Long Update

Alright a lot has happened lately that has kept me from updating. I've been avoiding this update because a lot of the "news" is still too fresh in my mind, but here it goes.

The only date I know for sure is February 14 (St. Valentine's Day as you're all hopefully aware of). On this day my dad had to be put into a nursing home because his cancer had spread a lot. So since I just lived with my dad in our house since my grandparents are in the same nursing home, I had to move to my mom's house in Chelmsford. So I spent a few days in the house by myself, but one day I came home to find that my Uncle Dave had taken my dog to give it to someone, without telling me. That really shook me. Thankfully, I was able to continue going to school in Wilmington. My commute consisted of getting a ride from Chelmsford to my other grandparent's house in Wilmington (that commute at 6:30 am is NOT fun!). There I would get in my own car and drive to the school.

That reminds me, shortly after my dad was put in the nursing home, I got my car. I got it for free from my sister when she got a minivan. It's a standard, so it took some getting used to, but now I love it. So after school I would meet my mom around 5 at my grandparent's, and we would go home. So this continued for the rest of the school year. It took some getting used to, but I just reminded myself how lucky I was to continue going to school and being able to be in my hometown.

Finally, summer came around which made things a lot less stressful. One day I went by my old house to see that it had been stripped, and was getting ready to be torn down. Then about a week into summer I was told my dad's condition had gotten really worse. On June 23rd I went to see him with my mom and some family members for about 7 hours, he was in very bad shape. He was so medicated for the pain that all he could was hear; no talking, seeing, or anything. Needless to say that really shook me up. Then at 4 in the morning on June 24th, my mom told me that he had passed away. This partly came as a relief because of all the pain he was in. Over the next couple of days we held his wake and funeral. They were obviously the hardest things I've ever had to do. Fortunately I had friends and of course Stephanie who were there to help me.

So that's the update. Since my dad passed I've done normal things. I've gone to a Sox game, I've had my 17th birthday, I've gone out, I try to do as many things that I've done before to try and convince myself that things are still at least a little like they were before. But I always make sure that when I'm in town that I stop by to see my dad at the cemetary and tell him everything that's going on. I also have to live up to my promise to him that I'll be ok and I won't waste my life. I'm lucky to have friends and even acquantinces who really help. Thank you.
