In tis field, oppurtunity for advancement comes pretty reguarlly depending on the company you are with. Advancement has to come with expierence. For example, I started out as a laborer and learned how things are done right and how to deal with conflicts. Then from there advanced to tranning other rookie's a few months down the road. It may take a few to get where you want to be but if you stick with it , it will really benifit you in the end.
People want to work mostly becuse of the big paycheck they get. Most people will stay in construction because of the benifits. Like health, dental and etc. Myself and other construction guys stay in the field because we thrive off of our own work. We like to step back and say that we did that. It is an art that people will get addicted to. That is what i think that the people like most when they stick with it. But people really dislike the hard work.
