Master of the molten lava! Tahu Nuva dwells deep within the Mangai Volcano, venturing out to protect his people from the menacing forces that plague Mata Nui. His magma swords can be attached to his feet to make a lave surfboard, for lightning-fast travel down the sides of the volcano. 
        
Wielding the power of the earthquake! Onua Nuva lives in the rocky tunnels deep beneath the surface of Mata Nui. His quake breakers allow him to easily carve new passageways in the stone. When attached to his feet, they are high-speed, all-terrain tracks that get him where he needs to go! 
       
Ruler of the air! Lewa Nuva lives in the jungles near Kauae Bay, keeping watch on Mata Nui from above. His air katana can be used to clear obstacles. And when attached to his arms and legs, they form glider wings that let him soar above the island! 
       
The chilling power of ice and snow! Cold, cunning Kopaka Nuva dwells in the snowy wastes of Mount Ihu, and is perhaps the most mysterious of all the Toa Nuva. His ice blade can be attached to his feet to form power ice skates for rapid travel.
       
The ultimate undersea power! The most agile and acrobatic of Mata Nui's heroes, Gali Nuva lives under the sea and uses her powers to protect the island from Makuta's servants. Her axes help her clear the toughest underwater obstacles, and can be attached to her legs to act as scuba fins, vastly increasing her speed! 
       
Strength and speed combined! Pohatu Nuva's awesome might and blazing speed make him one of the most powerful of the Toa Nuva! His climbing claws help him scale any peak, and can be combined to form his legendary Kodan ball. 

Vakama is the Turaga of Ta-Koro, a village in an extinct underground lava river on Mata Nui. Vakama protects Tahu's legend (the Toa of Fire), and carries the ancient Firestaff and wears the Huna mask (Noble Mask of Concealment).  
        
Whenua is the Turaga of Onu-Koro, a village that is underground on the island of Mata Nui. Whenua protects Onua's legend (the Toa of earth), and carries the drill of Onua and wears the Ruru mask (Noble Mask of Night Vision).  
       
Matau is the Turaga of Le-Koro, a village located in the jungles of Mata Nui. Matau protects Lewa's legend (the Toa of air), and carries the Kau Kau staff and wears the Mahiki mask (Noble Mask of Illusion).  
       
Nuju is the Turaga of Ko-Koro, a village under a huge ice block in the snow-covered mountains of Mata Nui. Nuju protects Kopaka's legend (the Toa of ice), and carries an ice pick and wears the Matatu mask (Noble Mask of Telekinesis).
       
Nokama is the Turaga of Ga-Koro, a seaside village on Mata Nui.
Nokama protects Gali's legend (the Toa of water), and carries a trident and wears the Rau mask (Noble Mask of Translation).  
       
Onewa is the Turaga of Po-Koro, a village in the deserts of Mata Nui. Onewa protects Pohatu's legend (the Toa of stone), and carries a stone hammer and wears the Komau mask (Noble Mask of Mind Control).
