Borned as Mastura Binti Azmi on 11 Dec 1981. She was raised in Bandar Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur and went schooling in several schools around Kuala Lumpur. Initially wanted to be an architect due to her parents' passion in architecture but realising that she can only draw 'stick man' so she decided to go for civil engineering. She went for undergraduate and master studies in Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Skudai Johor to study in civil engineering and majoring her master in geotechnical engineering. During her studies, she enjoyed working as a research assistant and used to be an assistant fellow for her college (Kolej Tun Razak). After graduated from UTM, she joined Yeoh Tiong Lay and became a site engineer for a year. Decided that she wanted to give back to the society and help to develop new innovation through research and teaching, she joined Universiti Sains Malaysia, Penang in 2005. She is currently a lecturer in School of Civil Engineering, USM. Now she is happily married to the most loveable guy in the world, Muhd Harris Ramli (who is also a lecturer in school of civil engineering, USM) and been blessed with a son, Aiman. Although busy with work, she still find time to browse through internet to broaden her mind. Loves critical thinking, new ideas, get together with friends and loves to travel with her family.
