4-H .... Where the fun begins! What is 4-H?
- 4-H programs are for boys and girls from 5-18 years of age as of January 1st of the current program year
- 4-H is hands-on - our motto is "Learn by Doing"
- 4-H is a partnership -we work as a group helping each other and those around us
The four H's stand for Head, Heart, Hands, and Health

Where Do We Meet?
The Massachusetts Maniacs 4-H Club meets each Thursday afternoon from October 1st through June in Wakefield Massachusetts
Projects Selected for 2009/10
Each year the club focuses on two or three areas. This year we are learning about photography and food and nutrition. Hands-on activities, field trips, workshops and speakers all help members progress in their knowledge.
Other Things We Do
Leadership opportunities, community service, and public speaking skills are also included. Don't be surprised to see our club members helping with Operation Military Kids, leading our club meetings, and giving visual demonstrations. We also participate in the Middlesex County 4-H Fair and the 4-H Awards Program. Members are also given the opportunity to strive for the Presidential Service Award.
