Pre Colombian carved stone chopper,"Native Tools" This hatchet head
form chopper measures 5 and one half inches long and 3 inches wide.
This is a very primitive early piece most probably made from lava. The
person that used this was right handed. We can tell that because of the
natural wear mark impression the hand made over centuries of use.

antique French fireplace fire back cast iron 1667. This very heavy
antique castiron fire back measures 25 and one half inches wide by 36
and one half inches tall. Very good as found condition.The date mark
ANNO 1667 was cast in the bottom border. The scene is a classical image
of a woman and children in an orchard. There is a goose in the
foreground, and a pair of dolphins form the crest. Our consignor had
contacted Sotheby's to see if they would be interested in selling it
for her. They responded that it was a lovely piece but would sell for
under their $6000.00 minimum. We have attached a copy of their letter
for review.

wonderful pieces date from the 18th to early 19 century. The two
matched bronze plaques are signed with the letter D and each measures 6
inches long by 1 and seven eighths inches high. The four matching
pieces measure 4 and one half inches each accept the one with a missing
piece and are also signed with the letter D. The single urn is also
signed with the letter D and measures 2 and seven eights inches high by
1 and three quarters inches wide.

and dated 1864 on the back at the base. The artist Joseph Charles de
Blezer was born in Ghent, Belgium. He attended the esteemed Ecole des
Beaux Arts in Paris, France, studying under the renowned sculptor Jean
Baptiste Clesinger. The artist's most well known work was his 1870 bust
of American abolitionist John Brown.
