Mary was a lucky girl. She went to a good school. She had
loving parents who adopted her when she was three years old and treated
her like she was their own flesh and blood. She had a best
friend. She has albinism and is African American, which provides
obstacles, but nothing that couldn't be overcome. All in all, she
had a good life.
Finding out that she's a werewolf put all her plans in the toilet.
Now she has new obstacles to face, new things to learn. From
getting ready for her last year of high school, she's gone to being the
rawest, greenest recruit at Werewolf Boot Camp, on an unworked
farm that doesn't even have a telephone. Or a television.
Grateful that the place at least has electricity and indoor plumbing,
Mary's settling in and trying to make the best out of things.
