Armor is
based on Japanese designs of the early 16th century. Nori was used for its dark color and its shiny texture
similar to the laquer work pieces of the armor. The Nori also has a vertical striped
texture pressed into it that suggests the individual pieces used in
constructing traditional armor. The lacing used in Japanese armor came in many colors. Yellow, Blue and Red being the colors most often used.
Hat is
based on a common conical style of the early 16th century. These
hats were made of woven reed or bamboo.
