This project was made for the vigil of Master Miguel Estevan de Cabra. He was elevated to the Order of the Laurel on Saturday, November 17, 2007.
I like to make the hand towels used for the part of the vigil ceremony where the candidates hands are washed symbolizing the leaving behind an old life to take on the mantle of a peer.
It is worked on 100% linen, in "Splendor" 12 ply silk (2 strands), and the leaves are filled in with size 18 spangles from Hedgehog Handworks.
