We decided that our Marsville Life Support System Project would be about wind power.  We also decided our jobs.

April 13th, 2005

We started making plans to build a model of a wind turbine.  We told John (the material specialist) what to bring.  Diane (the project manager) brought some of the stuff that John couldn't get access to.

We finished making plans, and we asked Thomas (the quality controller)  to bring the pole and support for our model of a wind turbine.   We also drew a picture of the model so that we would have an idea of what it would look like.

Thomas forgot to bring the base and support.  We also tried to figure out how we could hook up the wires to the battery and the motor which would spin the blades of the wind turbine.

Thomas brought the wind turbine this class.  Then we found out that the wind is supposed to make the blades of our model of a wind turbine spin so we couldn't use the battery and the motor.  So then we kept the wind turbine looking the same but we changed the way it operated.  We managed to finish most of the model anyway.

We did the finishing touches on our wind turbine.  Nicole brought her portable fan to test if the model's blades spun.  It worked the first time we tried it!

Our model was due this day.  We had to quickly put on labels that said which part was which on the model of our wind turbine.  Our class decided that we would do our write-up on a website at "Freewebs.com".  We filled out all the information to start on our website in our class but it would not log in -- the loading bar stayed at one spot.
