Mark Wilson, violinist

 

Virtuoso violinist Mark Wilson is an experienced

soloist (both with orchestra and with unaccompanied violin recitals),

chamber musician and orchestral leader,

During his performing career he has worked extensively with many talented composers, giving several premieres.

Mark is an experienced and dynamic conductor, and has conducted ensembles such as the Dunblane Chamber Orchestra (principal conductor 2009-2014) and  Aria Alba - Opera for All (Musical Director 2012-2014).

Mark holds teaching positions at Dollar Academy, Clackmannanshire, and Glenalmond College, Perthshire. He also holds the title of Senior Lecturer, RCS,  Dumfries House. This project has connections with Prince Charles and the world famous Scottish Composer, James McMillan.

Mark is also available for

violin and chamber music masterclasses, as well as composer's workshops on string techniques.
