Mark Teachey is a North Carolina born and bred Folk singer/songwriter with a musical recording/production background.  The small country towns which used to symbolize America are disappearing like spring frost, but Mark was fortunate enough to grow up in just such a town.  The experiences that he absorbed as a boy and young man are at his essence, and they are reflected in the songs of America that Mark writes and sings.  Mark has a special musical gift, and listening to Mark perform a song, whether it's one of his own or his interpretation of a John Denver, or James Taylor song is an experience not to be missed.

Coming from a close family, Mark was encouraged at an early age to love music and to develop his God given talent.  A part time job during High School at WLSE/WZKB in Wallace, NC as a local DJ gave Mark the opportunity to listen to his favorite artists and develop a love for ballads, great harmonies and the finger picking style of James Taylor, Jim Croce/Maury Muehleisen and others. It was in this local radio studio that Mark first became interested in how the songs got put together to end up as records, cassettes and now CDs.  This interest remains with Mark and over the years he has honed and developed his skill as a producer.  Widely known by musicians for his uncompromising ear, and his unfailingly good musical taste........Mark understands what to put into a new CD and equally important, what to leave out.
