10/13/09-Last night New York Jets quarterback played in his first Monday Night Football game.

The Jets played the Miami Dolphins and they almost had a win but Dolphins running back ran through the Jets defense. Which was very surprising because the Jets defense has been their strong point so far in the 2009 NFL season.

But the last 2 weeks have been brutal for the Jets. They got killed by Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints 2 weeks ago. Now the Dolphins picked apart the Jets. It was mainly the Wildcat offense that lost them the game.

The Jets had a lead late in the game but they gave it away and the final score was Dolphins 31 and Jets 27.

Sanchez played well and he didn't make any mistakes. He passed for 172 yards with 1 touchdown, which was caught by the newly acquired Jets Braylon Edwards. The Jets got Edwards in a trade with the Cleveland Browns last week.

The story of this was that Dolphins quarterback Chad Henne played very well. He had 241 passing yards with 2 touchdowns.

10/4/09-Today is week 4 in the 2009 NFL season and the rookie crop has done a very good job so far.

Mark Sanchez was the 5th pick of the 2009 NFL Draft by the New York Jets. Sanchez has lead the Jets to a 3-0 record so far. But that looks to change a bit as the Jets are getting waxed by Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints.

As I type this, the Saints are leading the Jets 24-10 with 2:50 left in the game.

Oops! Sanchez just thew an interception against the Saints! 1:06 left in the game. Tough day for the Jets!

The number one pick in the 2009 NFL Draft was Matthew Stafford by the Detroit Lions. Stafford has already accomplished something the Lions haven't done in a long time. They got a win last week against the Washington Redskins.

The Detroit Lions had been 0-19 before that. OUCH!

But the Lions got knocked back to reality a little bit today as they got crushed by Jay Cutler and the Chicago Bears (Still feels weird saying Cutler and Bears in same sentence).

A Look At The Top 2009 NFL Draft Picks Rookie Cards

Mark Sanchez rookie cards are selling like hot cakes on eBay right now. Especially his autograph cards. You might want to pick up a few before they go up because this kid looks to be a keeper.

Today I just bought 2 boxes of 2009 Topps Chrome football. I won't even open them. I'll just put them away as an investment. I paid $58.00 per box.

If Sanchez can keep having a nice rookie season over all, this Chrome box should go up in price. (I'm hoping anyways)

Matthew Stafford rookie cards are another great pick up on eBay right now. The number one pick is going through a lot of growing pains right now with his lowly Detroit Lions. But I believe that Stafford is a good investment.

Michael Crabtree was the 10th pick in the 2009 NFL Draft to the San Francisco 49ers. But here it is Week 4 in the NFL season (October 4, 2009) and Crabtree still hasn't signed with the Niners and is holding out. I don't know who Crabtree's agent is, but he must be a moron for advising him to hold out for more money. Having said that, I think Michael Crabtree's rookie cards could be a solid investment as well, if he ever starts playing in the NFL.

October 8, 2009-Well, Michael Crabtree is finally an official wide receiver for the San Francisco 49ers. Crabtree signed a six-year deal with the Niners yesterday that pays him $17 million dolllars gauranteed.

Now I don't know who Crabtree's agent was but he should be fired for allowing Crabtree to hold out this long!

He has missed 4 games already and will be getting a late start to his rookie year. The 49ers have done well without Crabtree and have gone 3-1. They could be 4-0 if it wasn't for a game winning touchdown thrown by Brett Favre and the Vikings a few weeks back,
