Playing as Kirby
Float over your enemy's head by pressing "y","x", or up rapidly. when you're directly above them, press "Z" to do a pinwheel kick down on them, or press the "C" stick down to deliver a barrage of kicks.
Playing as Samus
Face your opponent towards the edge of the stage. Press "Z" to hold on to your opponent with a grappling beam, and press the control stick towards the side of the stage. This will throw your opponent in that direction. Do this multiple times until your opponent is at the very edge of the stage. Then, push the "C" stick towards the edge of the stage to make your opponent go flying off. It works almost every time.
Sandbag Attacks
With Donkey Kong, walk up to the sandbag. DO NOT PICK UP THE BAT!!! Press "Z" and tilt the control stick towards Donkey Kong, and he'll pick the sand bag up. Run to the edge of the platform and off, still carrying the sandbag. With about 3 seconds left, throw the sandbag up. Power up your "B" attack until it's full OR until there's 1 second left, then press "B" again to hit the bag really far.
With yoshi, use A and down over the bag, to deal 30 damage. do this 4 or 5 times, then deliver a smash attack (> A) with the bat to send the sandbag flying.
Playing as Donkey Kong
To set up a power attack with Donkey Kong, use the "B" button and tilt the control stick towards your opponent to use a headbutt attack. This will temporarily make him unable to move. While he can't move, power up your "B" attack. DO NOT LET IT GO IMMEDIATELY!! When your opponent gets up, he'll jump. Wait for him to come back down, and the smack him by pressing "B". If your power-up runs out, try again.
Team Battle
To share lives during a team battle, press start if you die before your teammate. This only works if your teammate has more than one life left.

Best Attacks For The Hundred-Man Melee
1. Donkey Kong's "B" and down hand slap
2. Falco's B attack -- stand at the edge of the platform and blast anyone who comes near you.
3. Pikachu or Pichu's "B" and down thunfder - only works on the platforms
however, if you aren't going for KOs, then use this "cheat":
Get Mewtwo. move to the very edge of the stage and face off of it. Charge up his shadow ball and just sit there with it. Everyone will bounce off of it, and noone will be able to hit you. It's a perfect way to win.
