ABOUT THE NINTENDO WII

Originally codenamed the "Revolution", the Nintendo Wii was released in late 2006. The Wii brought a new aspect of gaming. The down to earth, fun and family console gave the user motion sensing technology. The world was amazed by the Wii Sports game which coincided with it's launch. The console also holds the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection which can be used for online gaming with friends and accessing news and weather etc. The systems Virtual Console section allows users to download (at a cost), retro games from past systems and not just Nintendo ones. In addition to the Wii Remote, other controls have since been released including the Wii Wheel and the Wii Balance Board.
