September 2007
Just wanted a webpage that our family and close friends could come to to see what is happening in our family. There are the 4 of us and 2 dogs around here. Our Marine (My Beloved and Our Humble lordship), MarineMama (Me), Little Monkey (our wanna be 4y/o son) and Princess JoJo (our sweet baby girl); and of course Camo (our 1y/o Brendall American Bulldog) and Bellasara (Bell, our new addition b/c my sister no longer wanted her, Corgi).
Things are pretty average. I'm a homemaker while Our Marine serves God, Family and Country to earn a living. We are Preschool Homeschooling right now. Little Monkey will become an offical homeschooled child in the fall of 2009 when we start Kindergarten. Princess JoJo is just learning about this new world we brought her into. They both grow so fast and so much changes around here so fast that this is the BEST way to keep up with everyone, and hey I might learn something about my family a long the way!

Last Thursday Little Monkey had his adenoids taken out. Things went great. We are having a pretty good week! He's a little icky feeling today, but he wasn't yesterday, though he was on Monday. So it's just a day to day thing. It should pass soon! We're not getting to much done around here, a lot of snuggling though and that goes farther than anything else we could be doing!
Princess JoJo is just a growing. Trying to learn and do so many new things. It's amazing that she is already 5 months old. I don't know where this year has gone at all!
It's time to go do some more snuggling!

Hey Ya'll~
I know it's been long while since I have updated everyone, so I will try to keep it as short as possible and still get all the news out. I know everyone's time is precious! =)
A lot has happened since I last updated everyone. I believe the last time I sent an update to all was after Princess JoJo (Joanna) was born. She is now 5mns old.
I guess I will start with her. She is doing well. She looks just like Little Monkey (Jacob), but with a few girly features. They could be twins, add in my niece and they could be triplets! She's eating solid foods now. She loves to eat! She is a little over 20lbs now and is a little over 2 feets long. She spends most of her day playing and watching what's going on. She'll let you know if you aren't paying her enough attention too. Her giggle lights up the darkest of rooms and if she sees her Bubba or Daddy she is thrilled, they are her world! She's been rolling over for a little while now, but she doesn't like to be on her belly, so when she's had enough she rolls back over. But she loves to scoot around by pushing her feet on the floor. She does this well on her back and is starting to get the hang of it on her belly. Her favorite toy is the jumpy, she loves jumping and she just giggles away. A few weeks ago she was on a nebulizer, but she is all cleared up from that and is off of it, Praise the Lord it wasn't permanent!
Bubba, or Little Monkey, is doing well. He had his adenoidsremoved last Thursday with success. This was because he was having many ear infections, non stop running nose, coughing and snoring. Right now all he has is a little sore throat, which is from the surgery. We started his K3 school year about the 2nd week of September and he is loving it! He's really good at his alphabet, numbers, Bible Verses, workbooks (Opposite, Hidden Pictures, What's Wrong, Same and Different). We are working on hand writing skills, learning how to tell time, use the phone, count money and more. We are still doing sign language and he is helping Princess JoJo learn some too. This year he is really interested in Dinosaurs and Zoo animals. We got a year pass to the zoo near by, a Biblical Zoo Guide Book to take with us and study at home and some flash cards on Dinosaurs as well as a DVD on Dinosaurs and God's Creation from Answers in Genesis. It's really neat and we all enjoy it! When we aren't doing "school work" Little Monkey is helping around the house. He is really good at all the chores I give him to do and he is always ready and willing to have a helping hand in whatever I am doing. His favorite thing to do is entertain Princess JoJo when I need to do something in another room, like change the laundry or wash the dishes, but even those things he is starting to do too! Outside is still his favorite place to be and since it is a little cooler here we have been able to enjoy it more, especially since our new home came with it's own "park" in the backyard! It's fun to see life through the eyes of our wild 3 1/2 year old!
Ol' JohnBoy, Our Marine, is not here right now. He is training in NC at our old duty station. At last I told everyone he was getting ready for DI school and he went. At the start of the first real week he got VERY sick. He couldn't keep anything down and they couldn't find out what was wrong with him. So after about 5 weeks of being sick and trying very hard to catch up they medically discharged him and he came back to MALS on the air station. Within about 3weeks he was being asked to go to Iraq to do some special work, not his usual every day job dealing with ordnance. He was asked to be the NCOIC of the deployment and is in charge of 9 others from here and over 100 from all around. So right now he and about 9 other Marines from the air station are in NC training for security of the base he was at last year with some Grunts, the ground side of the Corps. This week he is in the field training. We haven't heard from him except a short conversation on Monday and we won't get to see him until Veteran's Day weekend. Right now they are just training, learning how to deal with, I mean be a grunt, and even learning some conversational Iraqi, I guess that's Arabic huh?! =) He will be reenlisting while he is in Iraq. Our EAS, or time for this enlistment to be up, is Nov 30 08 so that time will be tacked on to the 4 years that he reenlists for. He will be reenlisting to stay here. While working here he will be doing as much schooling as he can to get his degree done. He might finish before the enlistment is up, that's up to God pretty much! But when he can he will be putting back in for DI School and he will become a DI before he takes his commission, that is unless God has other plans, which He can throw at you anytime as long as you are ready to follow His will! So when my Beloved isn't working he is usually here spending all the time he can with us. From remodeling our bedroom, to building fires in the fireplace or in the fire pit outside to learning how to take care of a little girl. It's a joy whenever daddy is home. The whole world pretty much stops and we just enjoy him and the time God gives us with him!
For me I'm just me. Being busy all the time. I don't really ever stop. A little at night, but even then there is usually something going on! =) Since we bought a new house in June I've been trying to get everything where we, or I ,want it and trying to make our house a home! I've started at MOPS again and we are all enjoying the time we get to spend out of the house making friends with new people and going on some field trips. Right now I'm working on a couple different rooms of the house. Trying to help John prep the bedroom for the remodeling, trying to get our school room / play room in order, working to make Joanna's room suitable for a princess so she can move in there full time and I might be able to sleep in a child free room at night, we'll see I can always dream =). I've also finally got all my sewing stuff back out and set up. So I have spent the past 2 days washing material I have patterns for what I want/need to make. So I will be getting to those one by one between today and tomorrow and we will see how long it takes me to get them all done and start some new ones! Other than that I'm busy entertaining Little Monkey and Princess JoJo and teaching them how to be a godly Prince and Princess!
Well I hope this isn't tooooo terribly long. Some of you will be receiving a little note and some recent pictures soon, I just have to stuff and address envelopes. I will be putting together some info about Our Marine when I get it, so I will keep ya'll up to date with that. Please keep him and all the Marines he is with in your prayers! Thanks and God Bless!

It's been awhile since I updated, so I thought I should sit down and do just that!
We are doing well. We've had a small case of the sniffles with the change in weather, but nothing that has made chaos!
We are awaiting Thanksgiving. We can't wait for YaYa to come visit us and Daddy to be home for a few days!
It's been over a month since he was last home.
John has been very busy! He calls it "babysitting". So far he says that the every day is a waste of the Marine Corps' time for them to be there. They have only been out in the field 1 time so far and had about 5 classes. I don't really know much about what they do or what they train for. We haven't gotten to talk in depth and somethings he's not allow to talk about. Tonight is the unit he's with Marine Corps Birthday Ball. We were all suppose to go, but do to some ticket issues we weren't able to go and he is pulling duty at the Ball. Hopefully their Ball is better than the Ball at the Air Station here last weekend. Many Marine wives at MOPS said it was a waste of money, which is sad because it's suppose to be fun and have tradition behind it, but the lack of respect was their biggest complaint about the Ball here. So I hope that his is going better! Right now all we know is that he will be home for Thanksgiving, then Christmas and New Years. Right after Thanksgiving they are going back out in the field for the 2nd time, then I believe before Christmas they are going for a 3rd time. The 20th through the 29th of January is suppose to be his time of Leave before they go. That was a bit of a shock, because they were suppose to be getting a month off and now they are getting 9 days. They are all having to take leave within a time of 3 different blocks. Once everyone is back from leave they are possibly going out to '29 Palms' for some training. We won't know 'til it gets closer. John's been going to church with another guy up in Greenville, about an hour away from Cherry Point where there is some civilization (LOL). He's been pretty healthy, still hasn't gained all his weight back from being sick in DI School and he got a mild case of food posioning after eating in the Chow Hall the other day. The weather has been a bit chillier there than here and yesterday it stormed pretty good. All in all he is ready to go to Iraq and get back!
Little Monkey (Jacob) is doing great. Until we got this case of sniffles, which his surgery doesn't cure colds, he hadn't had a runny nose, snoring, watery red eyes or coughing. The Dr said he looked really good and wants to see him back at the begining of the year. We Praise God for this! He also is talking so more clearly too. Just a day after his surgery you could tell a difference in his speech. He is also hearing things more clearly! We are still having issues with his behavior. Though they are getting better with much prayer and consistancy of discipling and rewarding! He's is being such a great big helper to me, I wouldn't be able to make it through a day without his help. From cleaning up his own messes and some of mine to household chores and helping with Princess JoJo (Joanna). So far he's learned to bathe himself very well (including shampooing his hair), clean his bathroom, fold the kitchen and cleaning cloth, put away his laundry, put away the juice (after shopping), put clothes in the washer and the dryer, take them out of the dryer, make his bed, put away his dishes and the silverware, load his dishes in the dishwasher, walk Bell, feed Bell, answer the phone, water the plants, and more I can't think of!
He is always asking to help when I am busy blessing our home. He is loving his 'schoolwork' (as he calls it). He has learned to spell his name, and though the letters are a bit off he has learned to write it too! We are even working on him doing seat work by himself after I've given directions! He's helping teach JoJo signs and sings her his songs. He has memorized 3 Bible verses in school so far and 1 at AWANAs. He is also working on the Model/Lord's Prayer. We've learned about the 7 (literal) days of Creation and are moving on to Noah. We are also studying about the Pilgrims and Indians and making some Indian wear and reading a Chapter Book on Squanto. Did I mention Homeschooling is FUN! He loves church and going to church. He just loves to learn about Jesus! Which we are thankful for! This past Sunday we started in AWANAs which we had been trying to get to for sometime now, but we were either in FL or Daddy had been home and left late or everyone took a nap to long after the morning service. It was nice to see how excited he was about it and that after one night he learned the verse everyone else had been learning for a week! He's been telling everyone that he went to "Agunas" on Sunday.
He is also learning some Christmas Hymns to sing on church Dec. 9th. I'm excited, his first concert! I will be videoing and hopefully posting it!
Princess JoJo (Joanna) is getting big! If she weren't a girl she would be Little Monkey's exact look-a-like. But their personalities are quite different. As everyone knows Little Monkey is the "star" of the show. He LOVES attention and he will make a way to get it, not that he doesn't like to be independant because he does. Where as the Princess is just fine being toted around and taken any where you take her. She's pretty dependant. She's just starting to really sit up on her own at 6months. I'm not sure when crawling will come into her future, though she has found that rolling and scooting around the floor works to get her where she wants, or doesn't want as the case maybe when she gets stuck under something like the easel. This past week I did start sitting her in the grocery cart while shopping. This has saved my thighes when squating to get things on lower shelves, although carrying her in the sling was giving me quite the work out! She still gets toted in the sling when we go to MOPS or church. Her favortie activity right now is to jump in the jumpy. She LOVES to giggle and smile at just about anything. Most days she doesn't cry unless she is hungry or extremly tired. But the past week has changed that as she pretty much cries all day, well at least fusses. She's trying to cut 2 eye teeth and they are giving her trouble. She does love her teething tablets though and they have been awesome! She's been sleeping in her bed for about a month. Though again this past week she's been really fussy and at night has been ending up in my bed for me to get any sleep at all. But she's getting a bit better about this! She's been eating solid food for 2months now, but this past week she decided she would only eat finger foods. She would not have anything to do with any food I made her, so I have a lot of baby food frozen in the freezer! Oh I guess did I mention that I make her baby food. It's so easy and it's pretty good! She's pretty much your typical happy baby!
Well I'm busy busy. If it's not one person it's another needing me to do something for them. Which is what I'm here for and I LOVE it! I've been sewing more. I've gotten Little Monkey's curtains sewed, started on some napkins for him, started my skirt and next a little jumper dress for Princess JoJo. I'm having a blast. Last month I finished my first crocheting project for my little niece's 1st birthday! It was a blanket. It wasn't the best thing in the world, but it was my first and I was proud of it! I'm almost done with a blanket for Little Monkey now. Between projects I'm usually cleaning, teaching and playing. Cleaning is never ending around here, but thankfully I have a helper to help me clean the house now and I'm so happy he loves to learn to clean and help Mama! I've really been enjoying teaching Little Monkey this year as we are just doing what we want when we want. He likes dinosaurs so we do those, then we do the seasonal things and things like that. We don't do the same thing all the time so that is really nice! It's been nice to have cooler weather so we can all get outside more! Some days we have to bundle up, but others we don't! It's nice to have all the windows in the house open and to get to build a fire every once in awhile! I miss my beloved and can't wait for him to be home, but we are making do and having the most fun we can. We'll have even more fun when he is home! I hope to be a little more consistant with this. I'm already doing this for the 2nd month, so I'm getting a bit better!
We hope that everyone has a safe and Happy Thanksgiving! We love you all and are thankful for all of your friendships! Please keep in touch!

February 2008
Well my consistency got a little jammed. Christmas, New Years and Our Marine came and went. It's been busy busy around here! We had a great time in GA for Christmas with most of our family. It was pretty and we had a blast! New Years was good, it was pretty much like every other day. We got to spend some nice time with John and made a few trips to NC. He has since started his journey and we can't wait to see him again!
There's not much to tell about John. He is doing his job. He's ready to be back in SC with us and to get away from this unit he's with. Other than that there's not much to tell. He's pretty much the same 'ol same 'ol. =)
Little Monkey is about to be 4y/o. He is excited about his upcoming birthday and asks everyday how many more days it is til his birthday. He has decided on a Dinosaur Birthday Party. He's very excited about this. He's also very much into SuperHeros. It can drive you crazy, but it's cute and after a few months I finally figured out why he is so hooked on them. See he knows that Daddy is fighting the 'bad guys' and that's what SuperHeros do and to him Daddy is "a real SuperHero". So all these SuperHeros are like Daddy to him. It's cute when you know that, but the constant talk of them can get on your nerves! ;) He was completly cleared by his ENT with his Sinusidous. So we are hoping that that takes care of everything and we won't be having to see him again! Well at least not for Little Monkey! He misses his Daddy and is ready for him to be back with us all the time. This has been showing in his everyday behavior which goes from one extreme to the other often. He's a growing boy and he know it and pushes it. But most of the time he is very sweet and loving! Especailly to his little Princess. Little Monkey is doing great in AWANAs. He has earned the 6 of 8 patches that they have done so far this year and he will be entering the Grand Prix in 2 weeks with his car that he and Pap are going to build this weekend in FL. His other new favorite is the tree house he and Daddy built. It's not totally done, but it's done enough for him to have some good fun!
She is getting big! She still doesn't crawl, only rolls, she has no teeth either. She is 9mns old now and a ball of fun. She 'talks' to you all the time, that is unless you are on the phone with her then she tries to eat you and find where you are?! She sits up so straight and pretty, is so cute. She loves the camera and knows exactly what it is. She's even been on the local news and in the base newspaper already! She does know how to pitch one heck of a fit though! There is nothing wrong with her lungs! When she gets mad she will usually start saying "Mama" or "Baba" which is Dada. Daddy made animals with the Littles and recorded messages in them. She loves to hear her Dada talk to her! She lights up the whole house with that smile. She also loves his picture and if you don't believe it just let her have it and she will kiss it to death! If Bubba isn't around she will call for him or if she wants him she will call for him too. She doesn't say many actual words, but she knows who she wants and when. Don't try to take her from Mama either, it will cause a fit. And if you do take her and manage to get her to calm down, don't go to far out of sight! She does go to the nursery quit well, but she doesn't like the other kids to get in her 'space'. If they do she will wail! Mostly she's quiet and happy. When she's happy you wouldn't even know she was there, but when she is mad, you know it and better do something about it!
I'm now part of our MOPS Steering Team. I'm a Dicussion Group Leader and help plan out our meetings and outings. It's a lot of great fun and it means that the kids and I are with our MOPS group at least 3 weeks in a row every month. Jacob loves this as he loves his MOPS friends! We all love to hang out and fellowship. It such a wonderful thing! We are a mix, some military wives and some civi wives. But we all love each other and our kids love each other too! We have a BLAST any time we are together! I also have been helping in AWANAs at church on Sunday nights. It's been a lot of fun! Other than that I'm busy here at home cleaning, teaching, playing and having a great time!
We hope all of you are well and having a great start to your year! I hope to get on here a little more often. We will see what life throws at us! =) Take care and keep in touch!

Hope all is well! As most of you know We are expecting Blessing #3 in September! September 15th is our given due date. hehe. For those of you who don't know Little Monkey's Due Date was March 15th, and he was born on it. Princess JoJo was due on the 21st of May, but when we decided to have her induced the Dr gave us the date of the 15th, and she was born on the 15th. And my birthday is July 15th. So Our Marine is the odd man out on birthdates. Things have been going well. We are trying to keep everyone well at the sametime! We are wrapping up our year on most things and gearing up for the summer!
Our Marine is doing well. He has his likes and dislikes with his new work and is in the process of reenlisting for another 4yrs. Our time is up in November of this yr, so it will be 4yrs past that time. He is also putting in his package to go to DI School in October 09, so the baby will be 1yr old by then. We all thank you for your prayers about his work and our family!
Little Monkey is a growing boy! He is now 4 years old and already counting down the days til he can turn 5. He is ready to grow up, even if we aren't! =) His is in the begining of learning to read, write and spell. He loves it and does it all on his own, I just flow with him! He is also learning to add and subtract, another thing he picked up on his own and we are running with it! He is loads of fun, energy and questions. He is very excited about the new baby and asks on a daily basis when he will be born. He tells us that it's a boy and his name will be Jelly Bean because it starts with a "J". He LOVES to play with Joanna and asks whenever he is playing to have her play with him. She LOVES this as well! Little Monkey finished up his first year of AWANAs last Sunday. He learned all his Bible Verses and earned all his patches for them. As well as his Sunday School/Church Attendance and Club Attendance. I think they were a little nice with that as we miss many of Sundays traveling and such. He also got his Cubbie Bear pin for his vest and an Award and Ribbon we are going to frame! We are very proud of him! Next month we will finish up the offical year of MOPS, but I'll get into that later. Soon we will be gearing up for the beach, swim lessons and maybe Tball!
Princess JoJo is almost there. She will be 1 year old next month. Oh how the year has gone by fast and slow! She's talking up a storm, well at least for us at home! She loves to flirt with other little boys and is very interested in babies! She LOVES her Bubba and it's pretty much the first word out of her mouth every morning. If she wakes before him she LOVES to go crawl in bed and wake him up by patting on him, pulling his hair (in a loving manner) and yelling "Bubba" over and over again. She has also started saying "Mama" for other reasons than being mad and "Dada" as well. She makes other noises and sounds. She will say "Baby" when she sees one. She has been signing, off and on, the word "More" for several months and just the other day I finally figured out she was also signing "All Done". If your grocery budget is limited, don't invite Princess JoJo to dinner, or any meal for that matter. She will eat all her's, Bubba's and anyone else who is willing or not so willing to give her food! =) She's our endless pit! She of course still LOVES for others to do for her, but she is starting to venture out and explore ways of getting things on her own.
Everyone is excited about Blessing #3, who will have a better name than "Jelly Bean" in a few more weeks when we have our ultrasound done. He/She is starting to flutter around and from our first ultrasound has his/her Daddy's legs! On Monday we will be 19weeks and almost to the half way point. Seems far away, but then not so far away!
I'm pretty busy. Some weeks more than others. But we are having fun doing everything we do! Most every Tuesday of the month is MOPS Tuesday is some way. If it's not a MOPS Meeting or Field Trip then it's a Steering Team Meeting. This year I've been a Discussion Group Leader for one of our Dicussion Groups and this Coming year I will be the Moppets Cooridnator. So I will oversee everything done with our kids during our meetings. From having wipes in the rooms to having the Bible Lesson planned out. Though our year is coming to an end as Steering Team we still meet and as MOPS we try to keep the flow going and "Reaching Every Mother" during the summer. Between Field Trips and Bible Study we will still be enjoying our "MOPS friends", as Little Monkey calls them! I'm also starting to get our schooling together for next year as Little Monkey will be doing mostly K5 work. His reading, writing and phonics needs some more attention so that we will keep at K4, but everything else he is above and needs to go on so he doesn't get board. He LOVES his school work and I LOVE teaching him. Next year I will also be working more closely with Princess JoJo as she won't be taking naps in the morning anymore. I'm excited as at the end of May we have our FIRST Homeschool Convention we are attending at our church here. So that will be something new for us! I've also closed the year on AWANAs as I have been helping with the babies, Puggles (2and young 3 year olds) and Cubbies (3 and 4 year old). I'm praying about if and where God wants me to serve in AWANAs next year. So we will see?! On top of all that I finally managed to get Princess JoJo's room uncluttered of all the stuff that got dumped in there when we moved in. Now we can decorate! =) Only one room to go to declutter! But have to finish the Master Bedroom remodel first, so we can move back in there and out of the guest room that needs work. Then we can start on decorating more of the house! As it looks we should be here at least another 4 1/2yrs! =)
We hope everyone is well! Keep in touch! We love you all and miss you!

All 3 Littles are doing well! Praise the Lord. There for a few weeks between Jacob, Joanna and myself we were always having someone sick in some sort of way. We've been well for about a month now!
I said last time that we would know what Jelly Bean was soon. Well Jelly Bean is.......................................................................... either a BOY or GIRL. We aren't sure yet? Only our Lord knows for sure! The tech tried everything to get Jelly Bean to seperate his/her legs, but he/she wouldn't. So we don't have more than a slight educated guess and we aren't going off of it. Our Dr said she would order another ultrasound when Jelly Bean is a little bigger, so WE might know before he/she gets here. That would be nice, I'm not sure that either of us can handle not knowing very well?! We both like to have things in order and planned out. So we will see?
Some of you know that Princess JoJo has had to start Physical Therapy. She doesn't crawl and doesn't pull up or stand on her own. So her Dr referred her to a Physical Therapist and we had her evaluation on her birthday. The therapist recommended that she be seen 2 days a week for 6mns at 30-45min periods. So for the past 2 weeks we have been going twice a week for about 30mins each time. Joanna is improving each time she goes. She doesn't crawl yet, but she is starting to "army crawl" more than roll. She is using her hand and feet to pull and push herself around and staying on her belly more. She is also using her feet to move herself while she is sitting so she can get something she needs/wants. She can't get herself into sitting position from being on her belly or back yet, or pull or stand up on her own. She can pull up and stand up if we are holding on to her, but she can't do it from just any object yet. We are just very thankful and blessed that she is improving and easy to work with. We don't have any idea right now of when she might walk? She will be reevaluated in about 3mns, around the time Jelly Bean is born, to see how many times a week and how long she needs to be doing PT. Thanks for those of you who have been praying for her and thanks for all the prayers that will continue. She wouldn't be doing so well without them!
Little Monkey is having one of his times. He is having behavior problems that we haven't quite put our finger on yet, but we are trying to discipline him in God and with God's help. Some days are better than others and he's been earning "treats" as we call them. This ranges from a sticker or piece of gum to his choice of dinner or item from the store. Poor guy went from being the only one for almost 3 years to having a cousin, sister and now another new sibling come along and take his spot light. But he is learning even if it's the HARD way! He's still having a GREAT time with homeschooling and is excited about the books we just got and ordered for the coming year at our Homeschool Conference! He's also being Mama's BIG Helper most days, doing all the low getting and putting away in the cabinets and things on the ground. He likes to help me shop and has been earing his treats while at Princess JoJo's PT appointments for sitting with me and doing some school work or reading magazines. One of his newest interests are to listen to "Adventures in Odyssey" on CD at night. This has been fun for he and I to do after Joanna is in bed! Jacob is such a great little man and he loves this baby so much. Of course he's still dead set on believing that it's a boy. So we will see? Only God knows as of now! ;)
Thanks to everyone who prays for The Littles. They are sweet and precious Blessing to us! We couldn't imagine a day without them. They are just so wonderful, even on their worst day! ;)
God Bless Everyone!
