So Anyways, I know I've definitely been neglecting my site, but its just so disappointing to write the same thing every day! haha. I originally thought Chester would totally be potty trained in the two months, no sweat. Well... I was WRONG!! haha. Anyways, This are progressing, but pretty slowly. Chester and I had gotten to the point where he was doing 100% #1's in the bowl, (with out the LK) but struggling with his #2's. (He'd only do them in the toilet if I was there keeping an eye on him.)So about a week ago, Chester fell in.. AUGH! Poor little guy. I don't actually know how much it traumatized him, but I did go and buy a new toilet seat. It's one of those wooden ones, but the actual seat is flat, so I had hoped that would help a little with his balance. Anyways... he HATES it. I had to put the green tray of the LK back in again, and he's finally ok with doing #1's in it. #2's are still a constant struggle, and if I'm not there I find a pretty present on the floor. (The bathtub is filled with water, I've got packing tape everywhere over the floor, and I also started putting out cookie sheets with water in them too... He just seems to find any tiny area I missed to go in!)But... things ARE progressing! Very slowly, but I still figure there is an end in sight! Not to mention, even with the 50% accidents on the floor, its still better then scooping a litter box, and having the #1's always in the toilet is just fabulous... So, if I still have any readers left, DON'T give up!!!I'll try and keep this a little more up to date!!Cheers and wish us luck!
Chester is doing pretty darn good on the green stage. Of course, half my bathroom floor is covered in duct tape, (sticky side up), and he'll only go in the toilet if I'm there watching, but... he has been doing it!. (#2 that is... #1's have been perfect so far). I figure its almost about time to buy an actual flatter grippier toilet seat, so I can lower that down before getting rid of the green stage. I'm definitely going to leave him here for 2-3 weeks first though, just to hopefully concrete his memory. Its been a long time getting to here, but its awesome to just be able to flush. Plus I giggle every time I hear a little tinkle of #1 in the toilet. tee hee.
I know, I'm terrible at neglecting my blog! This week I put chester on the green disk. He really doesn't like to do his #2's in the toilet, so I actually covered about 35% of the bathroom floor in sticky side up packing tape. (Try and explain that, as well as the LK in the toilet to guests). Last night Chester did a very nice #2 in exactly the right spot, and I was extremely happy, (apart from the fact that it was at midnight). #1's have been going great. It always makes me giggle a little when I hear a tinkle from the bathroom, but I try and leave him to his business.Veronica and Figaro start on their orange disk this week!!! I'm wishing them the best of luck!!
