A Huge Thank you!

I'm really very pleased to report that Cellar Dwellers " Eternal Darkness" has been our most successful CD to date And we have all of you psychorevivalists to thank! We certainly had some moments when we wondered if this slightly new direction we were taking on this project would be met with the same enthusiasm as our other projects...our question has been answered.

Never ones to let the dust settle, we will be heading back into the studio in June to begin work on the next project. I've already written 15 songs for it and we may have some really interesting news about it in a few weeks. I CAN tell you that if everything I'm envisioning is ok'd by the powers that be...this will be the most unique thing we've done to date.

I'll write more often...I know I'm a bit of a slacker when it comes to these things...but I always seem to be writing or playing.

Once again..Thanks to everyone who bought ETERNAL DARKNESS..We;ve sold to countries we've never sold to before and I cannot tell you quite how gratifying that is! A special shout out to our fans over in Brazil and New Zealand...I'm glad you found us!

Sorry its been so long since the last update but I've been very very busy with recording the new project as well as with the books release. "The Black Diary" is now out and I'm very pleased to say , doing quite well. Its an endeavour I'm very proud of..

Work on 'The Black Diary" will be completed this week and it will then be submitted for editing and publication. I hope to have The cover photo up very soon. It was in many ways a very tough project for me. Its certainly a glimpse into the darker places within me and stirred up some memories I thought had long died. I will update everyone on the book as soon as I can and hope you will all enjoy reading it. Its a work from the heart no question....

MAY 16th

I know its been a long time since I've updated, but I have been very ill the last month and I'm just now getting myself back to normal. Our recording has obviously been delayed but we will be returning to it in early june. The rehearsals have been going on about two weeks now and things are sounding great. I also wanted to let you all know that my first book of lyrics and poetry entitled " The Black DiarY" will be published in late june/ early July and will be available right here on this site. IT will include lyrics to songs never placed on and of our CDs as well as poems, short texts and prose.Until next time keep it evil and see you soon!

The news this week is that the first tracks for Cellar Dwellers next cd "Eternal Darkness" has been cut. Thus begins a rather long , but hopefully rewarding process. I think this is the most personal & introspective music I have ever written and I think many others among you will be able to relate to it as well! Just when it seems we have ALL the songs for this project in order...I go and write yet more! There is now enough tunes to make this a double cd set ( NO its NOT going to be a double CD set!)

If you go to the lyrics page you will see a new song written last night that I HIGHLY suspect will end up on "Eternal Darkness" . Its called " The mask" and Im very happy with it as a whole. I'd certainly be interested in your feedback on it so let me know what you think!

Tonight the band will do a bit of practicing for the next recording session and I think I will try "the mask" on for size. We all wear one at some point in our lives...some just never bother to remove theirs...

Some possible new titles have been added to the growing list of songs that may be included on the next CD "Eternal Darkness" It seems the creative juices have been flowing and as the recording process starts we may be looking at about 20 tunes ( later to be cut to 13)

The lyrics will be added here one or two at a time and certainly any feedback from the psychorevival is always welcomed! The newest additions to date are:

"HELL ON EARTH" and "FOREVRS NOT ENOUGH"

As a side note I wanted to personally thank all our uk fans for the nice response we have gotton to " Prayers of the Damned"  Its always a pleasure hearing from fans from other countries and sharing some musical vision.

The writing for the next CD is nearly finished. It seemed to come rather quickly but nonetheless I feel some of the best material thus far...we wont start work until the first of the year but have tried out several of the songs in the studio practice sessions with good results and positive feed back. As it stands now...and things do change..the list of songs for "eternal Darkness" will be as follows:

Eternal Darkness is a place we've all been...some of us never leave it...I hope you find it someplace you'll care to visit often....

A new media player has been added to the home page and contains several of the bands songs from previous cds. Within the week we will add songs from "Prayers of the damned" to the list so keep watching. Also the "ashes to ashes" video is due to be added to the site very soon and will be on the 'fun & games" page. Hope you all had a great Halloween and I'll be seeing you soon..

ASHES TO ASHES VIDEO TO BE COMPLETED SHORTLY

Work has started on the first video for "Prayers of the Damned" and thus far is looking really very good. The song will be "Ashes to Ashes" and hopefully will reflect the essence of the song... I think within us all is the ability to reach a point of no return...a place from which you can no longer continue.... when that place no longer becomes habitable there isn't really much left. "Ashes to Ashes..we all fall down"

The Video will be placed on this site as soon as its completed and, as always, your feedback is not only welcomed but looked forward to...

Fri the 13th so I'm in a rare good mood...Last night was the first actual rehearsal since the beginning of our recording "prayers of the Damned" and it went very well. Along with the songs from the current CD I introduced a few for our next project and I think they are certainly among my best work thus far.

The working title for the next project is "Eternal Darkness" and will be getting underway about may If all goes as planned. Happy Fri the 13th to you all..now go out and do something!

Well Brethren, The long wait is FINALLY over. "prayers of the Damned" is now finished and ready for release on Halloween!
