CLIPPER NEWS UPDATE

We have been asked to give up our stand until after the levy passes.  We have not been able to fill our stand on a regular basis.  We have had to rely on outside help.  This causes Sodexo to have a lot of extra paperwork and they have to find groups to fill in.

The good news is that they have allowed us to take a nacho/beer cart.  This is a three person stand.  We will need at least two alcohol trained people on each day.  One person can be non-alcohol.  We will not be allowed to have any students at this cart.

We really need to fill this cart for the next homestand or we may lose this too.  Sodexo is a large portion of our income.  If we do not receive this income, we will have no choice but to raise band fees.

Please take time and check out the Clipper page and sign up.  Usually with these carts, you don't have to be there as early and you close early due to the alcohol.

Thanks to all that have worked thus far. We appreciate your support.

CLIPPER PARKING INFORMATION

BELOW IS THE INFORMATION I RECEIVED FOR PARKING AT HUNTINGTON PARK.

PARKING HAS BEEN FINALIZED!!!  The lot the Non Profit groups will be parking in is located just off Nationwide Blvd.  If you are coming down Neil Ave from 670 you will turn right on to Nationwide Blvd.  You will then drive past the Ballpark (which will be on your right) and past the Buggy Works.  Once you pass the Buggy Works you will see two railroad bridges and in between them there is a road on the right that you will turn on to (the team is supposed to be putting up some signs there)  If you go under the second railroad bridge you have gone too far!  Once there, you will just need to tell the guard what group you are working with and they will let you park.  After you park, walk down the road you turned on to and go left and at the corner of Nationwide Blvd and Huntington Park Lane you enter the building.  From there follow the signs to the office.

This lot is only for people that are working at the ballpark.  If you are attending the game you must find another area to park.  If you are found to be parking there and not working you are subject to a parking fine or towing.

BINGO ANNOUNCEMENT!

*****  BINGO ANNOUNCEMENT ******  VERY IMPORTANT*****

Please look at the BINGO page.  We are in DESPERATE need of help on Thursday night BINGO!

Traditionally, at this time of year, parent participation drops off.  BUT, the band boosters still have outstanding bills from marching season, winterguard, and winter drumline activities.  It takes a full year of fund raising to meet the budget expenses of the CCHS band program.

If you have Thursday evenings available, please consider helping out at Capital Regiment's BINGO 6:00 - 10:00.  If you are a "new" volunteer, you will need to be there a few minutes early to get the run-down.  AND - you will earn $20 per shift worked for your student's account.  Please call Rob or Tammy Jenkins, or sign up on the BINGO web page.

THANK YOU!

BINGO

BINGO -  for those of you that are looking for ways to earn money for your child's account, the other on-going opportunity we have is to work BINGO at Capital Regiment Bingo Hall on Demorest Road.  We work this every Sunday from 12:00 - 4:00, and every Thursday from 6:00 - 10:00.  All volunteers must be 18 yrs old.  They can only train one person per day.  Please contact Rob Jenkins for more information.  I don't have his phone number, but it should be on the centralcrossingband.org website - on the booster page.  His wife, Tammy, is a trustee on the executive board.

Goodsearch.com

Some of you may be unaware, but we are a registered non-profit organization with Goodsearch.com  Goodsearch is a search engine that is powered by Yahoo.  For every search that is made and attributed to Central Crossing High School Band Boosters, we earn a whopping $.01!!!  It doesn't sound like much, but if you search things on the internet often, it will add up.  Since the beginning of January, we have earned $16.58.  We've earned a total of $178.11 since we first became a registered group.  Again, this is not going to save the budget, but, it can help us with very little effort and absolutely no cost or selling!  Please consider using Goodsearch.com as your search engine.
