I am a Yank by birth, but my viewing and reading habits lean toward Britain. I love Dad's Army, Hi-de-Hi, You Rang M'Lord, and Oh Doctor Beeching. Other comedy favourites are Goodnight Sweetheart, Monty Python's Flying Circus, Fawlty Towers, and Early Doors. As for TV drama, top choices would be Foyle's War, Danger UXB, Downton Abbey, and A Family at War. I have developed a website devoted to A Family at War, and you are welcome to visit. Motion picture recommendations are A Summer Story, Chariots of Fire, The Trip to Bountiful, The Best Years of Our Lives, Summer of '42, and Whistle Down the Wind.
My main interests are writing fiction and non-fiction, history, classical music, baseball, the Swedish pop group ABBA, the Australian folk group The Seekers. I have written two novels, Home Sweet Home Front and Bonnie Ploughwright.
After graduating from Temple City High School in California, I attended the University of Southern California for two and a half years and then transferred to Baylor University in Waco, Texas. I now hold two degrees from Baylor (Bachelor of Arts in Radio-Television, Master of Arts in History). I served in the U.S. Army for two years and married a Baylor girl, Patti. Our two children are now grown. Amy lives with her husband in Austin, and Cody is finishing his master's degree in business at Baylor. I am employed by my alma mater, serving as promotion manager for the Baylor University School of Music.
