"Hello, campers!" from a newcomer to this website. I am a fan of Hi-de-Hi and also You Rang M'Lord, Oh Doctor Beeching, and Dad's Army (a card-carrying DAAS member). What a terrific trio are Paul Shane, Su Pollard, and Jeffrey Holland. I still can't quite decide whether I prefer Jeffrey Fairbrother or Squadron Leader Clive Dempster DFC as Maplin's Entertainments Manager. Simon Cadell and David Griffin are so very different and yet brilliant in their own ways. That is how it should be, of course, for it is not as if they are playing the same role. I suppose my favourite character would have to be Gladys Pugh, for the pretty Ruth Madoc somehow manages to make her seem strong and yet also quite vulnerable and sympathetic. As for the lesser roles, I must confess to having a major crush on Susan Beagley as yellowcoat Tracy Bentwood!

P.S. For any of you who remember the wonderful dramatic series A Family at War, please feel free to visit my fan site at http://bearspace.baylor.edu/Richard_Veit/www/.

Hi, I am trying to make my own yellowcoat jacket, but I am struggling to find a yellow blazer anywhere. Has anyone got any tips on where I could find one? Failing that, is there anywhere that sells the finished yellowcoats? I have scoured the web but cant find anything. Thanks for any help, Josh

I am looking forward to getting all the series of HI-De-Hi for Xmas from Santa (mum). in the DVD Box set.
One of my first Videos I bought was of Hi-De-Hi the first 4 episodes. Its great when its cold and wintery
outside to put on an episode or two of that Holiday Madness and bring some summer fun into your lounge.

Hi De Hi is great comedy. The actors were brilliantly cast in the roles they played so well. Wonderful comedy thanks to the writing talents of Jim Perry and David Croft. In my younger years I worked on security in a holiday camp. there was so many goings on it would make for another series of Hi De Hi.
I wil be a regular visitor to this site.
