OUR CATS

We inoculate, worm and micro chip all our cats.   If the are old enough we also neuter them. For all of this we ask a donation of £50, which is less than what it costs us to do all this.  If you adopt a kitten and bring it back to the centre to be neutered we will do this for you at probably a far lower cost than you would normally pay.
Please help the cats here and in foster that are not wanted yet desperate to be loved.  If you are willing to home one of our cats we will transport them down the M4 as far as Reading.  However, once you have them if you decide they are not right you will be responsible for returning them to us or perhaps you would kindly foster them until a new home can be found.

HERMON & HOUSTON

HERMON                                              HESTON

15-10-09 Hermon and Houston are 5 month old kittens who were born in someone's back garden and have been brought to us to find a pet home.  They are a little unsocialized and a bit nervous of people.  Despite their fears they are easy to handle and enjoy to be fussed over, once they've calmed down. They might take a while to make new friends and might always be wary of new people but they will make friends with their family quickly.

07-12-09 UPDATE
Houston and Hermon are just gorgeous and getting friendlier every day. They are still a bit timid but with time and patience they will become lovely cats. They are very clean cats and it would be nice if they could go together to a new home.

Being fostered in Edinburgh, Scotland.  To adopt an unneutered kitten from Many Tears  Animal Rescue we ask for a minimum donation of £25, this covers the cost of micro chipping, worming and first inoculation.  You will be asked to sign an agreement stating that you will have your kitten neutered and send a form back signed by your vet stating this has been done. If you bring a kitten you have adopted from Many Tears back to us for neutering we will do this at a reduced rate.  To adopted a neutered adult cat we ask for a minimum donation of £50.  You will be home checked.  If you are interested in adopting this cat please complete the cat adoption form.

TOOTSIE

18-10-09 Tootsie
is a beautiful 2yr old tabby. She has come to the rescue because her owner was having medical treatment which meant she couldn't keep her. We have been told she is a sweet cat who can be vocal. She is a bit disorientated here and would love a special home to settle into.

07-12-09 UPDATE
Tootsie is a really friendly cat loves to be petted and curl up on your lap. Although she gets on with the other cats I think she would be best as only cat. She is very clean in the house

JOSEPH

29-11-09 Joseph Golden-Boy Jones is welsh through and through. He thought he had found a good home a year ago when he forced an entry to a family home and refused to leave. Sadly as the youngsters of the family grew they thought he was much like a ball and aimed a few kicks his way. For this reason J.G.B.J. has had to come here and be confined to barracks until he can be found new for ever quarters. He probably is related to Bag-Puss, loves his food, cuddles, warm fire places and roast chicken. He is BIG and portly, around 3 years and has that homely wow factor. Great cat, needing great home.

29-11-09 Lollipop is a 12 week old kitten, a lovely little girl who is as friendly could be. Lollipop is being fostered with Vicky who works for us. This little kitten is Vicky's shadow and follows her where ever she goes. When Vicky isn't there Lollipop is waiting patiently on Vicky's bed for her to get back and entertain her again.  Lollipop came in to us a couple of weeks ago with very bad scarring on her nose and eye. This is still visible on her photo but is getting better and better every day.

Andrew - he is gorgeous, chunky, beautiful markings, purrs so loudly you can hear him across the room! He loves to play, and to be cuddled, he likes to look out of the window and is the only one to try to climb the curtains! He is learning to live with the dogs and likes to play with our 6 month kitten. He must be homed with one of his foster siblings or go to a home with a young playful resident cat/kitten. No youngsters under 5, as kittens are delicate and are not toys to be lugged around.

- handsome, affectionate, playful, Archie is the perfect kitten.  He definitely needs a playmate so would love a home with one of his foster friends, or must have a resident young cat to play with.  He is getting used to polite dogs, and our 3 cats.  Brilliant with the kids, but not under 5's as they don't know  how fragile a kitten can be.

KEEN

03-09-09 Keen is a 9 weeks old male kitten.  He is here with his brothers looking for new homes.  They are all very friendly, happy to be handled and are looking for their own special homes where they can get the love and attention they deserve.

25-09-09 UPDATE

Keen has a big personality, he is bold, mischievous, playful and vocal. He enjoys the company of other cats and kittens, dogs and humans. After he has exhausted himself with running, climbing and exploring the house, he will curl up on a lap for a snooze, and purr contently.

20-11-09 UPDATE

Keen remains to be a petite, gentle and confident kitten. Loves human and other animal company and enjoys sitting on peoples shoulders and nestling into their neck for a snooze. Keen is very well behaved. He has never had a toilet accident whilst he has been with us and is completely litter trained. Keen is a small eater, but he is not fussy with his food either. He prefers to be snuggled on any vacant lap and will purr contently. Keen loves to have a chat with you and be involved in what activities you are doing. Keen is extremely lovable and friendly.

SAUSAGE

BEING FOSTERED IN FRILFORD HEATH, OXFORDSHIRE

17-09-09 Sausage is an 8 week old male kitten.  He is the last of an unwanted litter and just needs a home to love and care for him. Please come and meet him.

 17-11-09 UPDATE
Sausage is a vivacious, energetic little cat. He has become best friends with our dogs, and in cat-fashion, only seemingly tolerates us humans. He would be very happy in a home with any small dog that is not averse to cat play. He will play for hours with one of our dogs, attacking, biting, chasing, etc. Later, we frequently find him cuddling and sleeping next to our other, quieter dog. When he’s not sleeping, eating or playing with the dogs, I can nearly guarantee that he’s either chasing his own tail (an activity that takes up at least 40% of his waking hours) or he is playing in a cardboard box. We’ve accustomed him to nail-clipping—it is something we do each week with him with the aid of cheese! He tolerates most activities very well—especially with incentive! He is a really lovely little guy; however, I wouldn’t recommend him for someone who wants a lap-cat or a cuddle monster; he only offers cuddles in the mornings. I would definitely recommend him for someone who wants an energetic, entertaining little fluff-ball of fun, though!

MYRRH

02-11-09 This is Myrrh, a beautiful 11 week old male kitten, who has come in with a little friend, Mint. Both kittens were brought to us by a friend of a lady who had them in a flat and felt it wasn’t right for them. Myrrh is terribly sweet and friendly and hopes to find a forever home very soon!

SIAN

11-10-09 Poor Sian is only 2 years old and her whole life has been sent spiralling out of control. Sadly her elderly lady has died and she has found herself here. She has only ever been a house cat, and we will only home her a such.  Her pictures do not do her justice, but she is too confused to get a good one at the moment. She is a stunning - almost silver, grey tabby coloured Persian. Anybody taking her must be prepared to do a lot of grooming as Persians are very high maintenance.

23-10-09 UPDATE
It has been nearly a week since we brought Sian home with us to foster. She has settled in amazingly well and is the most sociable cat  ever.  She just loves everyone and even dribbles when you make a fuss of  her.  She is a little worried by my dogs but I think in time she will get  used to dogs, so there wouldn't be any problem in homing her with one.   The only downfall with Sian is that her coat is very thick and she is  not too keen to be brushed, but I think with persuasion and  perseverance she will get used to the routine.

03-11-09 UPDATE
Sian is doing very well indeed and is now coming downstairs and trying to get friendly with our other 2 cats and our 2 resident dogs! She is a very brave girl.  She is still very resistant to brushing and her coat is really very thick, much thicker than my other Persian so I am beginning to wonder if she is crossed with another breed of cat.
She is a very nice friendly cat and we are all starting to fall in love with her. She is also a real character and actually loves to sit in the bath (without water in it!). She is a really fab little cat. Sorry not photo but every time we take one her eyes go bright white and she looks awful!

Being fostered in Swansea. To adopt a cat from Many Tears  Animal Rescue you will be home checked.  Our cats are all neutered/spayed if they are old enough and micro chipped.  If you are interested in adopting this cat please complete the cat adoption form.

SNICKERS

BEING FOSTERED NEAR MANY TEARS IN SOUTH WALES

16-08-09 Snickers is a super little cat. She was found wondering and taken, flee infested, to a local vet. Luckily the vet was a cat lover and treated her and with her vet nurses help searched for her owners, but it seemed no one wanted her. She has been brought to us simply because every other cat rescue around here is full. We are so trying not to take in more cats as it seems we are not very good at finding them homes, but there also seems too often there is no alternative.

05-10-09 UPDATE
Snickers has settled in really well and is very clean in the house.  She likes to be brushed and is very laid back.  Snickers likes to sit on your lap and watch TV but does not like too much noise.  She is easy to look after and if you meet her you will want to take her home.

RITZ

BEING FOSTERED IN CORSHAM, WILTSHIRE

25-06-09 Ritz is an absolutely stunning tortoiseshell cat. She is nearly 2 years old and is unwanted by her owner who has far too many cats to care for.  Ritz is a little disorientated at the moment as she has never left her home before now.   Despite not knowing us and never really meeting anyone before today Ritz is still very tolerant of us and of being wormed and vaccinated and handled. She is a very affectionate cat and would love a home with other cats where she has some feline company, it would be lovely if we could home this little family in two pairs - mum and one kitten and 2 kittens together - that way they all have company.

UPDATE 07-07-09
Ritz has been here a week now.  She was very scared when we first bought her home but she has learnt to trust us very quickly.  Ritz has clearly not been used to being handled but she is very affectionate and will come up for a fuss and will purr her heart out!!!!  She is a petite cat and has been a wonderful mum to her three kittens.  She would make a lovely pet
.

05-08-09 UPDATE

Ritz is a very sweet cat but is very nervous to start with.  She will take a while to settle in her forever home but when she does she will come to you for strokes and in time cuddles. She gets on fine with my cats and after one hiss has been fine with my dogs. All Ritz needs is someone who will give her the time to settle in. So please if could be that person/ family please fill out the form below.  it will be such a shame for her to get settled in here and then have to do it all again.

25-08-09 UPDATE
It's such a shame that nobody wants Ritz, she has became a very loving cat.  She is not to keen on being picked up but is getting better. She will come and lay next to you and nudge you to make a fuss of her and will purr very loudly! She loves to be brushed. So please if you have room for a small easy going cat then give Ritz a chance. She really would love to find her for ever home soon.

30-09-09 UPDATE

Poor Ritz is in desperate need of a quite home, where she can have the freedom to wonder around and come to you for a cuddle. Ritz is fine with my dogs and cats, as they are calm and take no notice of her but she is scared of my foster dog Olga who is a large playful puppy. So poor Ritz has taken up residence in my bedroom where Olga can't find her.
Ritz needs someone who is happy for her to come to them rather then them going to her, as she is not to keen on being picked up. She loves to be stroked and brushed and will put her paw on your hand when she wants some attention. She is a real purr monster. So if you can offer this lovely little girl a quite home please get in touch.

Being fostered in Corsham, Wiltshire.  To adopt a cat from Many Tears  Animal Rescue you will be home checked.  Our cats are all neutered/spayed if they are old enough and micro chipped.  If you are interested in adopting this cat please complete the cat adoption form.

URSULA

01-07-09 Ursula is a lovely young tortoise shell cat. She lived on farm but they have lots of cats there and so her and her 4 little kits are looking for new homes. Ursula is young but we don't really know her age, her kittens are days old and haven't opened their eyes yet. Ursula is a beautiful cat with a fantastic nature, despite being dragged out of her hay barn with her babies and dumped in arms of strangers she's still been friendly and cuddly with us and hasn't worried that we might hurt her kittens.

23-07-09 UPDATE

Ursula's the friendliest kindest cat, she loves cuddles and children, and has been and is a wonderful mum.

BRISTOL & WALES CAT RESCUE

Bristol and Wales Cat Rescue has teamed up with Many Tears to find loving homes for cats across the UK.

They are a team of volunteers fostering the cats in their own homes and are completely self-funded. If you could help with a donation of food, litter, toys, bric a brac for  car boots or would like to join their team in Bristol they would love to hear from you.  You get a worm-free, flea-free, litter-trained, well-socialised furry friend.  If it's old enough your cat will also be neutered and microchipped before homing. If you adopt a kitten discounted vaccinations and neutering and free microchipping are all available from us at a later date (please note this is only within the Bristol area).

So, if you could offer a loving home one of the unwanted cats or kittens or could help with any cat-related donations please email
bwcatrescue@hotmail.com or call Lesley on 0844 2573525.

FERAL CATS

We have a wonderful lady who has saved many feral cats from being poisoned shot or destroyed at farm yards. She has had them neutered and is now desperate for responsible homes. These are feral or semI-feral cats so they do need stables and/or out houses.  In return for being kept healthy with food, water and shelter they will patrol and look after your rodent population. Please help these poor cats and call Linda on 01994-427567.
