Camilla (Emma)

Hi Everyone,

Camilla (Emma) and I  just want to report on how helpful Burns are.  I had a real problem with this little soul eating - even the ten minute rule didn't work, and after several very hungry days (for Emma) resorted to hand feeding her while drawing my hand closer to the bowl but with little effect.  It was worrying that she shied back from the food.  However, I noted that Emma quite liked Waggi's meat based training treats as an obedience incentive, but restricted these to training.  Poor Emma was losing weight.  Obviously I was very worried and after five weeks decided enough was enough, and rang Burns for some suggestions - or a vet visit would be necessary.

After trying to convince Burns advice line that I wasn't simply an anxious owner I suggested that maybe Emma might not like the fish/maize food, especially as she refused the fish based treats I bought as an experiment.  Finally they offered to send me samples.  Yippee!  Mini Bites were a wow!  And she liked everything except the fish and venison!  I put in an order immediately and it arrived this morning.  Emma has suddenly developed a wolf's appetite!  Decanting the food into containers was a challenge as Emma wanted to get right into the bag!  She was so excited, and I haven't seen her tail wag so much.  I can't tell you how thrilled I am.

All this to say that I cannot speak too highly of Burns - they pulled out all the stops to help me solve the problem and I look forward to little Emma becoming even more bouncy than she has been today and yesterday.  Things are getting better and better.  What an ace little dog she is!
Best wishes
Diana

SOPHIE, CHERRY AND GEMMA

Dear Sylvia and friends at Many Tears,

When I adopted my first ex breeding Cav' Sophie (Samantha) from Many Tears over a year ago I continued to feed her on Burns as I felt I should support them, as they support you. I have since adopted Cherry, and last summer Gemma (previously Brecon) and wouldn't use anything else.  I use it soaked for their main meal, and dry as little treats and rewards. I have seen them put on just the right amount of weight, their coats have changed from dull and thin to shiny and healthy, they have never had any problems with their digestive systems, and their breath is sweet and they all smell smashing. They are full of energy and really enjoy life.  Burns is also good for the environment, no tins, easy to store and take when going on holiday. I feel it really is a super food, the dogs do too.

I have enclosed a photo of the girls on holiday in the Lake District last September, Gemma is far right, she has settled really well, she, like Cherry was a very nervous little girl, but has grown in confidence. We are taking them to Dorset to one of the Grace holiday cottages seen on your pages, in January. They are so sweet, but by no way perfect, in fact they can be miniature Muddles, have been known to get onto the kitchen table and up onto the dresser for a good nose around, wouldn't dream of doing it while we are about, but wait for us to go out, so it's a furniture move when we go shopping, but who cares!
     T
hank-you so much for letting us adopt our little cav' family, they give us so much pleasure.
Love to all,
Wendy & David West.

EMO BOY

Hello all at Many Tears,
You will probably remember that when we adopted Emo Boy from you inSeptember 2008 he was still dreadfully underweight. We fed him on Mr. Burns working dog food for a few months and he finally got up to arespectable weight at Christmas. He was then changed to the Mr. Burnschicken & maize which he adores. As well as keeping him healthy with aglossy coat I always find that dogs fed on Mr. Burns do not smell as"doggy"! I don't think Mr. Burns dog food works out any more expensive thana cheap dog food as they need less of it as it has not been padded out withrubbish. I attach a couple of pictures of Emo - he is helping in the garden and thenhaving a lie down on his Emo blanket after his hard work!
Regards,June

MINNIE, WINNIE, PIXIE & GUS

Hello Sylvia
Thought you might like to see these pictures of these 5 dogs, 4 of which are from Many tears - MINNIE WINNIE PIXIE and of course dear GUS. We often meet up in Clevedon and have a wonderful dog walk as you can see from the pictures. My dogs still have Burns dog food and they look really well on it - we think that as Burns support you we will support them. Pixie has settled in so well in - it is as if she has always lived here and we love her to pieces - thank you for letting us have them all. Keep up the good work.
Best wishes Heather and Chris

Matty & Rosie

I am pleased to tell you that Shanghi (now Matty) and Vickie (now Rosie) are doing really well with us and are just gorgeous! Matty has a few issues with other dogs whilst on the lead, but we are working on it. He has also had a wart removed from his leg which had suddenly grown much bigger. It was malignant, but was caught early, so we are doubly glad that we took him, it was easy to miss. We are hopeful that he will be OK.
Both dogs have continued on Burns food, which we order from their excellent website, and it is delivered in 2 days free if you order more than £20 of food(I think-close to that anyway.) Their coats are shiny and they have lots of energy. I will continue with Burns food and would highly recommend it to dog owners.
Thanks again for giving us the opportunity to enjoy our great new family members.
Best wishes
Heather and Nigel Banks.

CYRES

BEFORE

Cyres (was Desire) arrived underweight, hairless ears and nose and a rats tail.
Vet said caused by bad diet.
AFTER

Fed burns food twice a day, now perfect!

RUBY AND DORIS

Ruby, who is the tan coloured older dog was diagnosed with Kidney failure several months after I adopted her, (april 2007) I was told she might have 6 months but I contacted Burns and they gave me some advice. She needed to lose weight and change diet. I then started to feed her on Burns with just a little wet food added to entice her. It has worked, I still have her, much slimmer and healthier although the kidney problem is advancing now quite a lot. But she is happy in herselfand much more active than she used to be.  I know its all down to Burns and I now feed Doris the Llasso on this also and she is fighting fit. I shall always use and recommend Burns. Also I would like you to put the pictures on the happy everafter section with praise to their foster Mum, Debbie in Newport. She still loves and asks about all the time. She gave them a great start.

KATY

Hi all at Many Tears
I thought you would like to see how well Katy (was Morgana) is doing.  When i got her she was very thin and had a very harsh dull coat but after just a fortnight of Mr Burns food which my other Scottie has been fed on since a puppy she now has a lovely shiny coat.  She loves her food and is now clean and dry and learning to walk on a lead.  Katy is the one on the right.  We are so lucky to have her.  Thank you so much.  She is going on holiday to Yorkshire with us tomorrow I hope she likes the moors.
 Kind regards to all
 Julie & Charles Colthart

Teddy

Hello Everyone
My name is Teddy and I have been fed on Burns delicious food since I was rescued - I think I look pretty good on it!!
Love Teddy x

MISSY

 Dear Many Tears,
Attached is a photos of Missy on her holiday in North Norfolk. We adopted Missy (an ex breeding bitch) from Many Tears about 11 months ago . When we got her she had a dull coat, which had a kind of brownish tinge to it and slightly bald patch where she had rubbed herself to get some relief from flees. In view of these things we boosted Missy's diet with half a sardine but this was too rich for her. Our vet advised us to just carry on with the Burns that we were feeding her so we did. As you can see she is now a happy healthy girl with a lovely black shiny coat. Thanks again to Many Tears and Maxine her fosterer for letting us adopt her and to Burns for such a great product.

Poppy

Hello Sylvia, James and everyone
Remember me? I was Annie with the "cauliflower ears" and you rescued me from the pound. I was adopted on the 30th August. Mummy has at last remembered to bring home her camera from work again so she can send you a picture! The first picture was taken when I had been here in Hampton about 2 or 3 weeks and as you can see I had already decided where my new bed was going to be and was putting on weight!
Within 2 weeks of being on Burns my coat was totally transformed. It went from being really harsh, thin and dull and now it is soft, thick and very shiny and I have curls on my back! I have now been here about 9 weeks the vet says I am now the correct weight, I have put on nearly 6 kilos, and everyone knows and loves me! They were shocked when they first met me because I was so thin, but now they say how beautiful I am, and Mummy how beautifully behaved as well.
We have lost my friend Old Ted who helped me settle in here but I have lots of " doggie friends", Digger, Ella, Dudley, Tug and Pip our old cat. I have just had a lovely long walk in Bushy Park, my supper of Burns chicken and rice, the fire is on and I am very sleepy so you will excuse me if I just have a snooze.....on my settee of course! Lots of love and thank you for saving my life, I am so very happy now.

dOLLY, ROSIE, LOTTIE AND LITTLE NELL

Here is a picture of my girls waiting for an ocean bite from Mr. Burns. Sadly Dolly is no longer with us. However, until the last few days she ate her Burns with gusto. I am sure that the pure nature of the food and low toxins prolonged her life by creating less pressure on her poor worn out organs. Rosie, Lottie and Little Nell are doing fine on all varieties of Burns, although we did give the little dogs Puppy Burns for a short while after we had them. They all three get a little Tuna in oil three times a week, broccoli and carrot puree and occasionally, scrambled egg and cottage cheese. I know this is not necessary as Burns is a good complete food but I like to spoil them with extras. Their diet must have really poor for so long, judging by their coats, teeth and breath but their condition improved dramatically on Burns. The nutritionist at Burns spent a long time talking to me about my old Black Lab (not MT) and, when she was really ill towards the end of her life, Burns Chicken and Rice tempted her where fillet steak failed! I also had sound advice on Dolly’s condition when we first had her. I can’t begin to thank the company for supporting MT and thus allowing Sylvia to help so many more dogs and cats.
