                                                          Below:

Dragon at the State Dressage Championships, 2005 where he was the opening act for the nights entertainment. He thought he was so!!!! cool.

He "Dances to Music in the Long-reins" and has quite a fan club.

He can also wave, do spanish walk, add up, pick things up that I may drop,(like whips and things, 'silly boy' ), nod yes and shake head for no to questions (scary), free lunge, (and do passage and spanish walk without halter, lead etc, anything on him).

Basically, he is a nightmare to have around, because he is smarter than any of us. He even gets paid for his performances, which is more than I do, I just follow after him and cater to all of his whims.

His best trick so far, is to gallop wildly around the paddock, skidding into the fences, so I will panic, lock him up and feed him, to settle him down. (Poor darling).

I went through a lot of feed before I figured that one out.

So if you want your horse to be trained to be a "smart alec",  give me a ring and I will give Dragon your contact details:

                             Some of Dragon,s latest achievements:

Below:  Dragon Heart at the Wingham Allbreeds 2006, where he won, amongst other first places, the Best Educated Hack, for the 3rd year in a row.

He can perform 2 time changes, ( 1 times in the long-reins), has started piaffe and canter pirouettes, are one of his specialties.

So he does have a serious side, also.

All of the initial handling, breaking-in and training of Dragon Heart has been done by Hazel Coates-Jobson of Manning Lodge Equestrian Centre.

See more about Dragon and the fun things he does, on the Dragon's Adventures, page, on this site!!!!!!

From this: above:                                            To this in 3 mths: above:

Square Touch with previous owner.                     Square Touch again.

Below, are some more photos of Square Touch, as he advanced through his education. He was a great 'School Horse', and taught many people to ride.

                                             To this: in 6 mths.

~Square Touch~ reached Med/Adv Dressage, won Multi Championships and Supremes in Hacking.

He had won 13 races and was sold for $500.00, to previous owner. I ended up with him because the people who bought him off the track, were scared of him, because he was so big and an ex-racehorse. (Typical, no mouth!!!!).

But with education and a lot of love and understanding, he began to trust again.

He was such a gentleman and a joy to own. Like a lot of ex- racer's, they just need time to adjust and learn a new way of life.

Previously,no-one wanted him because of the scars on his face and legs, after he won a $10.000.00 race and the owner's get drunk, celebrating, and turned him over in the float going home. So much, for loving your horse.

I,m so glad to have owned him, finally.

He is currently in retirement and treated like the star he always was.

"It makes me sad to think, how many more, like him are out there".

Some more Manning Lodge Bred and trained horses.

Our Anglo Stallion:            His Anglo son:                       Another son:

The Nighthawk.                  Nightrider (Kit).                 Kaywana White Night.

                                          above:~ Hawk and Hazel~.

I also bred, broke-in and educated Nighthawk, to Elem/Med level dressage. He won numerous Champions in led and ridden. He has since been gelded  and sold. He is excelling in eventing at the moment, with a young girl.

He is very closely related to Burren-dah The Wizard, as were many of my horses, because my parents, from the Manning Arabian Stud, bred Manning Kadabbra. (Sire of Burren-dah The  Wizard).

Kadabbra was an exceptional horse and anyone has any info on him, I would appreciate knowing what has happened to him.

above: Eventing Horse owned by a client.

He learnt to 'Hack' in 2 weeks. I won Supreme Rider at our local Hack Show on him. His racing name was "Celestial Express" and he was a sweetie.

He was in eventing condition.

Below: is another of  my favourite horses, Manning Shazah. I bred, broke in and educated him, also. He was also a great "school horse". He was 3/4 arab.

He was a lovely quiet horse. Loved his costume classes.

He won 23 ribbons and the High Point Award at the Arabian Magic 1988.

He was a very versatile boy.

" Both tired, after a long 2 days showing"

below: Shah's younger full brother, Manning Starbuck:

                              .

I also bred, broke him in and educated Starbuck. He went on to be an exceptional jumper, sporting horse and won numerous Champion Galloway Awards.
