Use autoresponders to build customer loyalty, increase sales
An autoresponder automatically answers e-mails, and can send out a series of messages at preset time intervals. The messages help you to establish a relationship with buyers, while gently nudging them to purchase your product or service. An autoresponder helps put your website business on autopilot.
If you want to build customer loyalty and increase sales, an autoresponder is a necessity. The cost is reasonable - anywhere from $15 - $29 a month.
Increase your website sales by following these steps:
1) Once you have your product and your target market, write 12 - 24 messages that provide valuable content to your target market, while gently reminding them how your product will help them to avoid pain and gain pleasure.
2) Mention the features of your product, what it does, but emphasize the benefits of your product. Example - The features of a diet program would include losing weight. The benefits of a diet program would include getting the attention of that special someone, getting a second glance from the opposite sex, eliminating depression, more energy, getting rid of insomnia. See the difference?
3) Emphasize the benefits. The benefits of the product are how the customer will feel after they buy your product. Andy Bounds, in his book The Jelly Effect describes these feelings as "afters", or how people feel after they buy your product. If you're selling contact lenses or glasses, don't tell them that they will be able to see better. They know that all ready. Instead, mention that once they buy your glasses or contact lenses they won't get the tension headaches caused from eye strain, or suffer from embarassment at not recognizing a friend from a short distance.
4) Set up an opt-in form where people can opt in to receive your e-mails. Remind them that you will not spam them, and they can opt out whenever they want. Offer a special bonus e-book once they sign up to receive your autoresponder messages.
5) Once they sign up, they are in your pipeline to receive your pre-written autoresponder messages. Have them pre-set so they get one every other day. Put links to funny videos, interesting stories, information that will help them in some way ... valuable content. Tell them about yourself. Gently remind them about your product. First and foremost, establish a relationship with them.
6) Once these people are ready to buy, they will likely buy from you, since they've been reading your e-mails. Also, an autoresponder helps to put you in a position of an authority on the subject.
