In Charlotte, NC where I had gone to do a project with a professional dance company I had a vision. I was going back to Kansas where I had household goods from years as a single parent stored in a rental. This past of the past would become my past , not my history. Because The Geodetic Center of US was my destination after that, I intended to start a new life as an artist. I had been painting since first memory.
The chore of as Abraham teaches 'Burning Down the House' took over a year. Sorting, sifting ,releasing, keeping ,all this not unlike what a deliberate creator does with their very thoughts and beliefs. Once my goods were down to a manageable, petite, lady size truckload I took it and went looking for this place called the Geodetic Center of the U.S. As close as I could get was to a small town near the site where I found a retreat house and traded workstay for a place to live. For 8 months I asked and searched to eventually find this location under very peculiar events which will be another manifesting story.
When I met the landowner of this piece of property I was unaware that this would unfold the vision I intented to live. He took myself and guests up to the Geodetic Center us riding rough shot in the back of his truck over terrain that only he could drive. Two orange poles mark this hill space and I sat my arse on the dirt and that was that. Only it wasn't ending there.
Several months later the owner of the land happened to meet up with me again in the small town retreat place. We decided to make a date. We kept that date and several more. He had a cottage in the country that i asked if I fixed it up could I use it for an artist studio. Bingo! Since the bloke was smitten he said yes. That began the 'dream come true'. Oh , I don't think I knew the Abraham teaching easy as pie bc it has plenty of bumps and mud in the road, but it is my pie.
Here in Luray, Kansas my lover and owner of the Geodetic Center and I have remodeled an old farmhouse and turned it into a working artist studio for my painting business. I opened my web Gallery www.eviewrayartist.com and have developed a small but steady group of art collectors. He runs his cattle ranch and we ride the horses up to land that was a 'figment of my imagination'.
If you imagine it it can be reality.
