Suicide Prevention

Established in 1998 to coincide with the HBO airing of the award winning short film "Trevor", hosted by Ellen DeGeneres, The Trevor Helpline is the only national 24-hour, toll-free suicide prevention hot line aimed at gay and questioning youth.

The Trevor Helpline is geared toward helping those in crisis, or those wanting information on how to help someone in crisis. Managed by our partners at San Francisco Suicide Prevention, the Trevor Helpline calls are handled by highly trained counselors and are free and confidential.

Should You Be Tested For HIV/AIDS?

If you can answer yes to any of the following actions you should be tested. It is possible in most areas to receive FREE and anonymous testing and counseling, please refer to information on this page as to where these services are available:

In the last 10 years have you:

Had sex with males, without using condoms
Had sex with females, without using condoms or latex barriers
Used injecting drugs, IV drugs
Had sex while using non-injecting drugs or alcohol
Exchanged sex for drugs or money
Had a STD, sexually transmitted disease, diagnosis
Had sex with multiple partners, without using condoms or latex barriers
Were sexually assaulted
Had a tattoo
Received a blood transfusion before 1985
Had sex with an IV drug user
Had sex with a person infected with HIV/AIDS

The Access Project:  is an information clearinghouse. We collect and distribute information about medications available for HIV and AIDS through Medicaid, AIDS Drug Assistance Programs (ADAPs), and national pharmaceutical industry patient assistance/expanded access programs. AIDS Drug Assistance Programs are listed by state. The Access Project has information and contact numbers for all 50 states and the territories. Information includes: point of contact, eligibility & pharmacies, medical criteria/dosages, care consortiums, which drugs are covered, and nutrition & vitamins. STD Clinics and HIV Counseling and Testing Sites are funded by the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services. All STD/HIV clinics offer a sliding fee scale. No one is denied service due to an inability to pay.
