Gen 41:51 "For God has made me forget all"...

Jesus Is The Bridge To Your Inner Healing

All of us at one point in time have been hurt, whether it was self inflicted or by the hand or mouth of another. These hurts create memories, some of which are very painful and for many of us can be very hard to get over. Do these sound familiar? "Your too sensitive," "Get over it," "Forgive and Forget!," "You think you’re the only one who's been hurt!" "Oh, you’re just looking for pity." I believe you hear comments like these because within the body of Christ many of us don't know how to handle these types of affliction. Many of us are still wounded and have not allowed the Lord to Heal us through inner healing. So when someone comes along seeking help or guidance in this area, too often they are faced with the reality that those they seek help from are still bound by their own painful memories. Granted sometimes the comments previously mentioned are necessary, however there are many instances when they are not! If you have been brutally attacked, or abused for years, how do you forget? How do you get over it? If a loved one has betrayed or abandoned you, how do you get over it? Or if you have been the one who has inflicted pain on someone else, don't you still have the guilt of your memories? Listed below is a study that initially started my journey to victory. I pray it will bless you and that you will allow the Lord to begin to remove the hurt and pain associated with those horrible memories.

Begin Your Journey To Victory!

Judges 11:1-11...Now Jephthah the Gileadite was a mighty man of valour, and he was the son of an harlot: and Gilead begat Jephthah.

Jephthah has a past . . . a past with painful memories, of guilt and loneliness . . . his mother . . . everyone reminds him of it . . . satan wants us to live in the past!

Jephthah goes on a journey to victory...a certain journey...

Judges 11:29-33...Then the Spirit of the Lord came upon Jephthah, and he passed over Gilead, and Manasseh, and passed over Mizpeh of Gilead, and from Mizpeh of Gilead he passed over unto the children of Ammon.

First the Spirit of the Lord came on Jephthah...and us...you must be saved for this journey!

Then he travels through:

Gilead (Genesis 31:44-48)...Now therefore come thou, let us make a covenant, I and thou; and let it be for a witness between me and thee. And Jacob took a stone, and set it up for a pillar. And Jacob said unto his brethren, Gather stones; and they took stones, and made an heap: and they did eat there upon the heap. And Laban called it Jegarsahadutha: but Jacob called it Galeed. And Laban said, This heap is a witness between me and thee this day. Therefore was the name of it called Galeed.

Manasseh (Genesis 41:51)...And Joseph called the name of the firstborn Manasseh: For God, said he, hath made me forget all my toil, and all my father's house.

Mizpeh (Genesis 31:49)...And Mizpah; for he said, The Lord watch between me and thee, when we are absent one from another. (Proverbs 8:34)...Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.

You make the choice to forgive; only God can cause you to forget . . . by inner healing
