The Urbanites

This website is my first attempt at doing photo stories with 1:6 scaled dolls and dioramas. I am new at this, and kinda just stumbled upon this hobby after purchasing a vintage A frame Barbie dollhouse at a thrift store for my daughters. I've always loved Barbie dolls as a child and am finding myself falling in love with Barbie all over again as an adult. I've started quite a collection recently and decided to do diorama photo stories with the dolls. I've even started collecting G.I. Joe action figures!! I'm VERY pleased to find out that there are other adults who "play with dolls".

I am a self taught artist, and doing these photo stories is very relaxing for me and gives me the opportunity to explore my creativity. The Urbanites are a group of colorful people who live in Chicago. (My hometown by the way!) The stories will center around the drama they face in their everyday lives. Some of the stories are true accounts that I have faced, or people that I know have faced. I am working on doing a group photo shoot of all the characters.

The stories content is for mature adult audiences only and is not meant to be viewed by children.. Some of the subject matter in the stories may be controversial and is not intended to insult or offend viewers. Sometimes I may use dry humor. In any event I will try to make the stories interesting, funny and insightful. Hopefully if you are still reading this you will continue, and go on to view the photo stories. Enjoy!!
