I received my B.F.A. degree in Fine Arts from Park University in Kansas City Missouri spent several years teaching art to children. Also taught privately in a studio located at a horse ranch my students used live animals as their subjects. I totally dig expressing life with youthful fantasies of nature. I am especially fond of flowers, trees the moon, horses, Fairies and the sea even though I am afraid of deep water. I love bringing out the deepest and the brightest colors that I see in nature. I work mostly in acrylic, Oils, pen and ink, pastel and watercolor.
I am a Lightworker, which is expressed through my crafts and artwork. What is a Lightworker, anyway? Well, in the broadest sense, a LightWorker is anyone on Earth who is truly committed in his or her heart to helping others awaken to Love. Love makes life "lighter." We "shed light" on dark situations with Love. Lightworkers are everywhere, in every religion, in every walk of life. Many of us would not describe ourselves in any special way. Love knows no boundaries, no definitions. We all have a gift and talent to share with the world, it is when we don't reach or discover our talents that the world misses out.

The colors are so vivid in this book; it’s as if a dazzlingly iced birthday cake has exploded onto the
pages. Although the colors are bustling, the feeling is nicely serene. The illustrator has faint edges
on some of her pictures, and this makes for a dreamy, wonderful experience. The crayon green
grass and some of the purple and pink flower petals have this dreamy appearance too. The pages
are lustrous and shiny, and with the light coming from the stars, the fireflies, and the fairies
themselves, the pages are quite spectacular. Stephen J. Brooks, the author of several children’s
books, and Denise Seah, who teaches art, have created a fine world for children to visit. Everyone
has big smiles and nature abounds. At the fairy ball, the decorations are the flowers in the trees,
and the dance floor is petals. Each page has four lines of text; text that rhymes. Children will
respond as Madelyn is welcomed by the fairies- for this one memorable night.

Review of 'The Fairy Ball'
The Fairy Ball is a fantastic, wonderful and enchanting book with flowing poetic words and beautiful
illustration. Children and adults will feel delighted as they join Madelyn in her wonderful midsummer
nights eve adventure into the Faery Realm. I read this book to a little girl who felt happy and joyful
after we read it together and her imagination quickly began to soar! I highly recommend this book
to anyone with children and also for adults who believe in Faeries.

Fairies can be seen by mortals only on one night each year when they gather for the fairies’ ball on
mid-summer's eve under the full moon. Madelyn wakes up and tiptoes out into the night. Let's
follow her down the magical path to the secret glade and watch the fairies as they come to the
enchanted place to play and dance.
Stephen Brooks has re-created one of our best childhood dreams with his lyrical poem about fairies
and flowers and magic. He loves to create enchanting worlds where children are safe to wander
and explore. This rhymed story is a joy to read aloud at bedtime or to share with your favorite child
anytime, and maybe the fairies will visit their dreams. Denise Seah's bright floral and fairy
illustrations are a visual banquet that your little one will want to look at again and again.
