Malamutes have been a part of our lives for a long time, ever since we rescued our first Malamute whilst living in Australia, and now we would not be without them.
The Alaskan Malamute is a very special breed of dog and they are very special to us. They are a Majestic breed, being the Original Sled dogs of the Arctic, one of the oldest breeds of dog in History. They were the sledding workhorses for the Inuit people of the Mahlemut Region of Alaska and remain to this day as working dogs.
