The Metriaclima Estherae, or 'Red Zebra' as it is commonly named, is very a popular Mbuna and readily available. I keep 'Double Reds' where the male and female are both an orange colour but there is also a dimorphic species where the males are blue and the females orange. These Mbuna are a less aggressive species than many and as such ideal for the beginner. I also have a very yellow Estherae which for some time remained unidentified. I have now been assured that he too is a species of Red Zebra.
