One of the most beautiful of all Lake Malawi Mbuna are the mildly aggressive Maylandia Callianos. I keep two types, the 'Cobalt Blue' and the 'Pearl White'. These fish have the most exquisite colours and beautifully smooth body contours. In the wild they live amongst the deeper rocky parts of the lake with a sandy bottom. In the aquarium they are inquisitive, easily mixed with other Mbuna and a joy to photograph and keep. Surely a staple of the Lake Malawi Mbuna setup.
