Hello......My name is Violet King, and I hope you enjoy browsing through my site. I am a personal motivational counsellor and I would be happy to help you to deal with any problems you might have.

It's all intended to help us to make changes to the way we look at things in life and the way we handle things. I write motivational articles for 8 different magazines, and the topics on the side of the site are typical of the type of articles I write. The feedback has been really encouraging.
In 1999 I retired from work in the UK and moved to Spain. I had been trained as a motivational counsellor in the UK. My training was the Carl Rogers' system of person centred counselling... not giving advice, or telling people what to do, but helping people to take control of their lives. The aim is to encourage clients to realise that by the choices they have made, as adults, that is where they are in life today. Thinking differently and making different choices definitely produces different results!! ...it applies to all of us!
Before I left the UK, as well as working in a Part Time job as a P.A., I was I was working with Careline, the national telephone counselling organisation ....I learnt a lot from the challenges presented there with a vast variety of client situations and I changed my own life by handling things differently!!!
Since coming to Spain to live I have been able to concentrate on the things I enjoy most....my work as a counsellor, hosting self improvement groups, starting two non smoking social clubs, and writing articles for several monthly magazines here for the English speaking community. I have also been invited onto local Sol TV twice, and Madrid and Local Radio....and given talks in local clubs.
My book "Change Your Life....Do It Today" was published in 2006....(see details on the index....it can be ordered directly from me via email )... I have had such lovely feedback from many readers.....the purpose of the book was to pass on the things that I have learned over the years that have really helped to improve my life and my way of looking at things.
Perhaps this site would help some of you to see things in your life from a different point of view, and maybe you could make changes in your life....if that is what you would like to do!....
The different topics on this site are all designed to help with a different way of looking at life....YOUR life!!
I hope that through the contents of this site you may be inspired to make some changes too!.....
