Toe stoppers and clogs are allowed, and the same restrictions as above apply.
All wooden stirrups must have the base covered in a leather wrap help the riders boot to grip.
All smooth flat steel stirrups must either be wrapped in leather or have traction lines ground into them so that they are no longer smooth.
Note: Round stirrups (i.e. O rings from western saddles) are not allowed.
Helmets
MUST be the ASNZ3838 australian standard helmet. They can be any colour, but white is normally worn. The black and blue velvet covered helmets are allowed as long as they are the 3838 model. Sun visors, and the "O ring" sun covers are also allowed.
***Be warned that writing the childs name in texta on the back of the helmet or adding any stickers will void the manufacturers warranty!!
Saddles
English, stock and fender saddles are allowed.
Bridles + Bits
No hackamores or 1 eared bridles. Most other bridles and bits are accepted including running gags, pelhams, bit and bradoon, spanish snaffles, mullen mouths etc.
All bits that have chain attachments must have a chain on. Chain covers are NOT required anymore but may be worn.
Spurs
Dummy spurs are allowed, but the longer dressage spurs are only permitted in PC dressage competitions
Rollers are now also allowed in some competition areas. They must be no bigger in diameter than a 20 cent piece and no smaller than a $2 coin. They can be no thinner than ~20 cent piece
Leg Protection
All boots and bandages are allowed, but bandages must be stitched on the outer layer (except neoprene protech bandages). Electricians tape is not permitted.
Saddle Blankets
On competition days the MPC saddle blanket must be worn. It is white with green binding and the MPC logo is on the near side of the horse behind the saddle. On rally days any colour or type of saddle blanket is permitted.
No head checks are allowed, but martingales are allowed.
